Veronica jolts up, sweat covering her entire body. Her husband Mike stirs in his sleep as she struggles to catch her breath. She's thankful she didn't wake him this time. She'd been waking him due to having the same nightmare over and over for several months. The event she keeps dreaming about happened over eight years ago. She thought she had put that awful night behind her. She had been to several therapists but none helped her like her current one, Dr.Wilder. She grabs her note book from the nightstand and gently removes the covers sneaking out of bed without waking Mike. She makes her way to the kitchen and settles at the table. Dr.Wilder had suggested she write down each dream as soon as they started. She begins to journal every detail she can recall of her current dream. Once she's finished entering each detail, she begins reading her earlier entries. She thumbs through each entry trying her best to focus. As she reaches her third entry something catches her attention. She quickly goes back and reads all the entries carefully. Although all the dreams were about that horrible night, each dream had no similarities. The details were different in each dream, other than being in the same location there was nothing similar. Until tonight. Suddenly she remembers the attacker's necklace, it was the one thing that recurred in each dream. Tonight she saw it more clearly. Dr.Wilder would tell her it was a repressed memory, blocked out due to the trauma of her brutal attack. She had tried her damnedest to remember anything that would help catch the monster that did this. She never could, until now. The necklace, she remembered the way it glistened against the full moonlight from that dreadful night. It was a simple rope chain, but it was the pendant that hung from it that was unique. It was a tiny ship with the name Mike engraved on it. The same necklace her husband was wearing at this very moment. Her only question. Where the hell did he get that necklace? #NancyDrew
