Temple of Shadows

     
      Flames rised as the village burned while the children, women, and the men were screaming for their life as the gaurds from the kingdom began to laugh while they watch the people suffer
"You dare disobey the kingdom?"
"This is what you chose for your self"
The young boy only being 8 year old didn't understand much of what was happing or why but he was sacred  of out his mind
"What are you looking at pink hair brat?"
One of the guards said while smiling towards him
"I-im looking for my family..."
Koki responded crying
"Too bad they most likely burn with the rest of the village"
The two guards reply laughing at the poor little kid
"Burned? My family? How would you know?!"
Koki's eye's began to glow pink
"Huh? Calm that additute before we do it for you"
The two guards demanded pointing their swords to the little kid
Koki tilted his head to the left
"Gnik Tenlis"
Koki mumbled as the ground started shaking while around the whole village a dome of pink energy began to form
"Burn? Pain? I will show you"
Koki said staring into the guard's eyes
Everything within the dome began to burn in pink flames surrounding the guards
"What type of magic is this?"
One of the gaurds panick
"Who in the nine hells is he?"
The other said looking around in terror
Koki smiled
"I am Gnik Tenlis"
The whole area inside the dome erupted leaving nothing but ashes
The knights from the kingdom of Xinglua had arrive to rhe scene
"We are late we couldnt stop the attack from the kingdom of Raindent"
"Wait Sir whats that? What cause that damage?"
"Sir look over there two little kids lets go"
The knights rush over to help the kids
"Help her first"
The 8 year old boy said as he collapsed to the ground
"Get them medical attention now!"
The leader of knights yelled
"Yes sir were on it sir"
The three medics that came along reply
"The little girl seems unharmed"
One of the medics answer
"Do you think he caused this?"
The second medic asked
"Unsure but lets be careful we don't know what happened here, take them back to the kingdom there is nothing for us to do here anymore"
The leader commanded
"Yes sir"
The whole group responded
The group of knights left the village taking the only two survivors with them
"Koki...Koki! Wake your ass up its late already"
"Huh? Oh i had a weird dream"
"I hAd A wEiRd DrEaM shut up its almost noon"
"Noon? I slept in?! This is bad!"
"You think?! hurry"
"Wait where is Nem?"
"She been up since this morning, she is outside"
Koki stood up stretching "ight well can you get out so i can change?"
"Of course ew i dont want to see you"
Kim shut the door close and walked away
Koki changed into some black jeans and a pink t-shirt with pink shoes"okay lets hurry we need to catch up"
Koki grab his jacket that was black with pink strips as he ran outside calling out Nem
"Aye Nem! Where are you?"
A knight? Came out wearing a red hoodie with dark blue jeans and red shoes to match his red hair
"Are you koki?"
The knight demanded
"Yeah and you are?"
"Im a royal guard from the Kingdom of Xinglua"
"Another guard? Look we told them that we weren't interested in sending people to fight"
"Im not here because of that im here for the princess"
"Princess?"
"Yeah she is here and im sure you are aware of that"
"Brother!" Nem came out of the forest running and hugging the knight
"Sister im glad you are okay but we must hurry back it isnt safe for you outhere"
"Sorry but im not going back"
"But its my duty to protect you thats the only reason i became a knight after our mother's death"
"Then stay with us and come live in peace"
"You are playing right? Im not living with that monster"
The knight look at koki
"Monster excuse you im a human like you"
Koki felt offended
"You destroyed a whole village and left no trace of it then you destroy a whole kingdom and you dont call your self a monster?!"
"Me? No way wrong person i have no memory of that plus i live here all my life"
"Hold up you are telling me you have no idea of those events?"
"Not a clue at all"
"you are koki right? "
"Yeah why"
Nem turned to koki
"8 years ago a boy destroyed a village with an unknown power then only two years afterwards a fight broke out over a little girl that the boy had protected and saved from the accident that had happened two years ago the boy didnt want to harm anyone but it's said a knight swang his sword to the little girl and the boy erupted destroying half the kingdom and again the only thing left was the little girl even the boy was no where to be found since then he has been a myth nothing much besides his activities as the leader of the hunted 5"
"And you think im this boy?"
"We dont think you are this boy we know you are"
"impossible sure i don't remember almost any of my past but that can't be true my mother is still alive if that was true she would have been dead"
The knight stared into koki's eyes
"We never mention the part that they killed the boy's parents meaning you seen it from the tearing coming out you are remembering what you have done"
"I-i am a monster, Princess go back to the kingdom with this knight being around me isn't safe"
Nem got up close to koki
"No koki you aren't a monster i know you didn't mean to do that"
"Doesn't matter whether i want to or not it could happen anytime"
The knight step in
"Koki i shouldn't do this but im not the only one here there is more knights looking for your head if i was you run or people are going to die"
Koki's mother ran out
"Son! Take this its your fathers you are going to need it"
"A sword? Father's? But why?"
"Not just any sword but there is no time you three run now and don't look back koki take kim with you they will spare me and diana but kim will be turned into a slave or worse just please hurry"
"Mother why all of sudden?"
"I wish i could explain just please head west and you two its up to you what you want to do but there isnt time"
Koki's mother ran back inside closing the door and locking it
"Koki why was mother so worried?"
Kim looked at him in concern
Koki looked at the sword
"King Silent?"
Nem grab koki's hand
"You heard your mom lets go, brother will you come?"
"I hate to dishonor my code but family comes first lets go"
koki looked at both of them
"Thank you guys"
The knight look away
"Dont mention it freak im doing this to protect my sister from you"
The four teens began to run west not too long after screams could be heard from the people
Koki remembering everyone began to shred tears
"I will make the kingdom pay i promise"
The knight couldnt bear to hear the screams from the people
"Wow so this is what they do huh? So much for being a knight"
Nem turned to koki
"Wait where are we going exactly?"
"I have no idea if im being honest"
David interrupted them by pointing into the distance
"over there"
"Whats over there brother"
"Since we are with one of the freaks im sure we are meant to look for the others right?"
"I dont know i mean if you are right then we must look for the shadow that lives in the forest"
Koki seem to remember
"Edward right?"
"Of course you would know freak"
"Seriously still with that?"
"Yeah now lets go on"
"Edward the hunter lives in the deepest part of the fairy forest but wait before that we should go to the temple"
"The temple?"
Nem interrupted
"I have heard of it the temple of the shadows where the 5 hunted first came together against the god race and the demon race"
"Sister how do you so much?"
"At the castle i was pretty bored"
"Question freak why do u want to go there?"
Koki turned to look into the distance
"Im not sure but something is calling me there"
"Fine lets head there but do you know where it is?"
"..."
"? You don't?  Then how are we gonna get there"
Kim step up a little
"Well i may know where it is actually its not too far north"
"Yay kim"
Nem laugh hugging kim
Kim started blushing
"Aye then lets go and sister be careful around these two"
Nem had let go
"Calm down its going to be an adventure"
"More like hell"
Koki looked at the knight
"You know you still havent gaven us your name"
Nem jumped in
"Oh hes David"
"Pleasure David"
David looked furious
"Don't pleasure me freak im not your friend"
"Brother why you got to be so rude"
"Do i really need to explain my self"
Koki turned around
"Nem its fine and no you dont now lets get going before sundown"
Nem rushed and hug koki's arm
"Right lets hurry"
Koki turned red looking away
"Don't even think about trying something with my sis-"
Nem began to ran draging koki
"Sorry cant hear you brother"
"Aye come back ugh"
Kim looked at David
"I think you should lighten your mood a bit its not that bad you know?"
"What do you know your brother is a freak for all i know you can be one too"
"...Oh okay then..."
Kim ran behind koki and nem leaving David behind
*An hour later*
"There I see it"
Koki pointed at a structure that looked old, the walls look like they were about to collapse
"Are we sure we want to go in there?"
Kim asked scared
"Have some faith in your brother kim im sure its fine"
Koki looked at Nem
"I will go alone if you want to stay out here"
"No way i always wanted to see this"
David walked up
"Im not leaving nem alone with you"
Kim hid behind koki
"Not going to stay here by my self"
"I guess we are all going but lets be careful"
David stared at koki
"Careful? Please like you know what that means"
Koki and David stared at each other in the eyes
Nem put her hand on koki's chest
"Lets not waste time"
"Yeah sorry you are right"
All four entered the temple
Kim was behind koki
"This place is scary"
"Fited for freaks"
Nem jumping around
"I think its pretty cool"
Koki ignored the comments
"There is a main hall, lets go"
Koki rushed looking around the room seeing his pass teammates
"Um brother? That looks like you..."
"Huh? No! Thats not me im not a Demon"
David started walking backwards
"Oh but you are"
A voice from behind David spoke causing him to turn and fall down
"Sorry i didnt mean to scare you"
Koki step up
"Mystic right?"
"Welcome back King"
"King?"
"Yeah King Koki Silent Death"
"Damn been so long since i heard that name"
"Indeed and as your friend im glad you are back"
David intruppted
"Enough with that, how is that me?!"
"David right? The demon who challenge the gods and won known as the best fighter in the whole land"
"No im not a freak!"
"You may not be thinking right but how old do you think you really are?"
"Im 17!"
"Haha no you arent you are 2369 years old i guess after the last fight you guys forgot about everything"
"2369? You must be playing there is no way thats even possible"
"One of the 5 most powerful creatures to ever be alive me?"
"Yes you are Demon Lord David Knight of the nine hells"
David stood up and walked away towards the exit
"Poor soul maybe he will und-... WHO ARE YOU?!"
Mystic pointed towards Nem
"Im Nem younger sister of David and im here with Koki"
"An Angel traveling with our King? Why?! Explain your self"
Mystic's eyes turned purple as the ground started shaking
"Thats enough" Koki stomp the ground standing in front of Nem "she is with me"
"King she is our enemy"
"Not anymore!"
"But King...fine"
Mystic turned back to normal
"Why are you here anyway?"
"You see i don't really know"
"Of course clueless like always"
"Aye don't call me out like that but im starting to remember some things"
"Find Edward he may be able to hel-"
A scream from outside was heard
"Brother?"
"Thats David"
Koki rushed outside to see David fighting a man who was wolf like that had his face covered with a wolf mask
"David be careful!"
"Shut it freak i can handle my self im a knight after all"
"Its not th-"
"I said shut u-"
David was struck by an arrow
"Enough small talk imposter"
"Imposter? I dont even know you"
The man launch forward swinging his sword
David back step barely dodging it or he thought as the tip of the sword struck his right leg causing him to fall
"Imposter i said!"
"Listen you freak" David swang once causing the man to back
"Im no imposter im David Knight from the kingdom of Xinglua the top knight"
David stood up rushing the man as he swing for his head the man block it, David kick his leg cauing the man to fall on one knee
"Brother!"
"Huh?"
David turned in that time the man punched him and dashed backwards
"Thats all you got? You imposter"
The man dashed striking David's left arm and knocking him down to the ground
"Thats all? No its not"
David responded standing up
"Didnt say you could stand up"
The man kick David back down
"You little sh-"
The man stab an arrow through David's hand
David scream in pain
"Enough!"
Koki yelled as he grab his sword that was located on the back side of his hip
"King?"
The man asked tiltting his head
Koki was about to strike but stop when he saw david getting up
"Im no freak and i sure dont need help from one!"
David yelled hitting the man off him
"Freak?"
"Yeah you two are freaks!"
David's left eye turned red as he pointed his sword to the man
"Nine hells combat enhancement!"
David screamed as a red arura formed around him and his sword then a red enegry beam came out blasting a hole all the way through the forest
"Take that freak"
David said almost faiting
The man seem to had dodged the attack but only barely as he showed physical damage
"Imposter i thought, wrong i was, friend"
The man said puting his sword away as he began to remove his mask
"Friend? Again i dont know you!"
"But you do David"
"Then who are you?!"
Koki stood next to David
"I can answer that right Edward?"
"King?! So you are alive? It really is you?!, I mean yes indeed my King"
David tunred to koki
"Again with that i said im not a freak like you guys"
Edward replied
"Accept it or not you are one of us David as well as please dont be so rude to our king"
"Him? King? Hes a monster!"
"We all are i see you forgotten what happened to you and what you did"
"What i did? What did i do?!"
"Only time shall tell you not us"
"What the hell?! Ugh whatever not like i care"
Nem, Kim, and mystic finally came out of the temple
"Brother are you okay?"
"Yeah i am"
"I was so worried i was screaming out for you"
"I know i heard you"
"And then like you wouldnt answer i got so wo-"
David hug Nem
"Im fine okay?"
"Okay brother"
Koki turned to kim
"Can i get a hug too kim?"
"Ew no dont be weird"
"I see how much im loved"
Edward not understanding
"I will hug you if you need to king"
"Oh no its fine Edward im serious"
"As you wish"
Every one started laughing
Nem ran to koki and hug him as she whispered
"You are loved"
Koki turned bright red
"Hehe oops"
Nem giggled
"King its almost night time we should rest inside the temple for now"
"Good idea Edward"
The 6 entered the temple once again as the sun set, the group started a fire and went to sleep Nem was in Koki's arms, Edwards was sitting up while sleeping as Mystic and kim were asleep on the ground next to him but David was outside thinking to him self in the peacefulness and quietness of the forest and there was the moon and Edwards Mask planted onto the ground but the mask was soon cracked by a person's foot.
