I watched through my old rusted window as the snow was falling for the first time in many years. It hardly snowed where I lived. It rained a lot, but it almost never snowed.
I watched in amazement as the snow covered the ground like a thick white blanket leaving no traces of the green grass that had been there only moments ago.
Through my foggy window, I sat with warm hot cocoa and I wore the warmest sweatshirt I could find in my closet. I was very comfortable.
If I squinted hard enough. I was able to see the blurry figure of a young girl, maybe 13 or 14 years young, crouched to the ground and burrying something.
I wondered what it was.
