Farewell.

She is beautiful.

Her soft skin, her glistening hair under the sunlight, her gentle voice that is euphonious, and her laugh that ringing like a blessing to the ears.

"(Y/n)," he loves to call her name, because she will respond with a delicate smile on her face that only shows for him.

"Kyōjurō-kun! You're here," her smile that he always love is dancing on her lips. Even though her eyes are clouded, but her smile still as enchanting as ever. She reached out her hand, which he gladly took it.

He put her hand on her cheek, and leaning into it. "I'm here, how have you been?"

He always loved her. He hate seeing that eyes of hers because of what happened that night. He failed to protect her from the demon that take away her sight. But after all of that, she still manage to smile so bright. So bright that he is also get hypnotized by them. Even though he knows she can't see him anymore, he always make sure that she knows that he is here beside her, keeping her away from being lonely.

"I'm doing just fine," she replied with a smile. She loved the way he hold her hand. She can feel how gentle his hand holding her, like she is a precious thing to him, and she liked that thought of being precious to him. She can't see him again, but everytime she sense his presence, her dark world become brighter by a flicker of light.

He take her hand on his face, and kissed the palm of her hand, making her blush from the feeling of his lips against her skin. He continued by holding her waist and kiss her cheek lightly. Making her hear beating even faster.

"I am going in a mission this night," he informed her. It pained him to look at her sad expression. But she quickly hide it with her smile.

"Is that so? I guess it can't be helped. Be safe then, Kyōjurō-kun. Please come back safely," she said. Her tone shows that she is sad about him putting his life into the line, but she knows how noble his work is. She knows better at how dangerous man-eating demon can be.

He kissed her forehead lightly. "Yes, will you wait for me?"

She nodded in response. That's what she always do everytime he have to go on a mission, praying and waiting until he comes back.

"Thank you," he leaned down to put his forehead on hers. Their nose collide with each other, causing her to giggles. He kissed her sweet lips gently. With that, he bid her farewells.

Little that she knows that, that is the last time her dark world is having its flickering light, because the next day, he didn't came back.
