"He is dead, (y/n). Rengoku-kun is dead."
She can't believe her ears when she heard those words. Those painful words.
He is dead?
Her only light. Her only flicker of light, has been taken away from her. Her fire. Her sunshine. Her love.
She can't contained her sadness when she heard the news. Her mother had to calm her everyday because she is crying out of control.
She lost her appetite, making her body looks skinnier than before. Her dull eyes just get even clouded than before. She never showed any smile other than a weak smile to tell her mother that she is alright. But the truth is, she isn't.
She missed him dearly. His voice that is so clear and spread happiness around her. His only presence that felt like a sunshine she missed so much. His touch that always touched her like she is a precious thing in the world. Oh, how much she missed his touch.
The touch that is so warm that break the cold and dark world she was in. The touch that reminded her of the world outside her dark world. The touch that held her dearly that she feel safe. The touch that reminded her that she is loved.
She missed how he can always make her blushed everytime he whispered sweet nothings to her ear. His calm and content voice that told her how much she is loved by him. The voice that soothes her whenever she have a nightmare about that terrible night.
"Kyōjurō-kun..." She mumbles under her breath.
Her tears are still streaming down her cheeks. Everytime she remembered him, her tears escaped from her eyes. She tried to muffled her cries so her mother won't hear her crying and worried about her.
She can't remember how long she has been mourned for him. Weeks? Months? She just don't know anymore.
Senjurō visited her sometimes. Encouraging her to eat and to take care of herself. He told her that his brother won't wanted her to be like this. She slowly regained her appetite with Senjurō helping her. She try to smile again like before, but she can't do it. It's like something is taken away from her. She don't know what to do anymore.
Her mother is happy that she is slowly getting better and starting to eat her meals. She also starting to smile to her and reassure her that she is okay right now. But that all is a lie. She is still dead inside.

It's been a year after his death. Her mother is starting to worried over her.
"(Y/n), I think it is best if you just get married. There's a good man that will take your hands in marriage. He will take care of you for sure, and you will be able to forger about your sadness," her mother said to her.
Marriage? She never think of marrying with other man than Kyōjurō.
But if it will ease mother from taking care of me...
She knows that she is blind, and she knows very well that she is burdening her mother. If by this marriage she can ease her mother's heart, then she will do it.
"Okay," she said, smiling to her mother, hiding the sadness in her expression as well as in her voice.
Tomorrow she will meet her partner. Honestly she doesn't want to. Her heart is heavy with the feeling that she will be married to someone other than Kyōjurō.
This is for mother...
She repeat those words inside her mind, assuring herself that this is the best for her and her mother. She will have someone to taken care of her and her mother will live at ease.
