As I drive into a parking spot at my newest school, Edman High, I can definitely tell people are surprised to see me. Some of the girls smile, some of the boys whistle at me, and some just look at me like I'm crazy. I look down at my outfit. A nice shirt, with some jeans, and my leather shoulder bag. I even put on some converse. You see, I'm not much of a girly type. But by the looks of it, 90% of the girls here are. I'd be surprised if I made any friends today. I walk up to the school and take a deep breath. I open the doors and walk in. The hallway is buzzing with probably 70 kids already. I walk in slowly, books in hands. I take the first right and I'm bumped into. I fall backwards and my books go flying.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going, I really should listen to the teacher when she says don't play football in the hallway." I hear a boy's voice say. I look up and my eyes meet with a big brown pair of eyes. I laugh, and give him a small smile.
"No it's my fault, I have absolutely no clue where I'm going. But now I think I know who to find when I want to play football." I say. I study him carefully, but try to not make it obvious. He had tannish skin, big brown eyes, brunette hair, and he had the cutest smile. Then I realize, he could be a mini Jackson. I wipe the tear that threatens to fall. He gathers all my books and grabs my hand to help me up.
"You, a girl, likes football? Thats a first." he says, "I'm Jacob Mason, I'm the quarterback on the football team, and the captain of the baseball and guys basketball team." he says putting his hand out for me to shake it. I take it and smile.
"Are you trying to impress me?" I ask. He looks down and smiles.
"So what if I was?"
"I'd say your crazy. By the way, I'm Katie Jordan." I say. He smiles, at me staring. "What are you smiling at?" I ask curiously. He realizes and looks down.
"Your eyes." he says. I smile softly, I feel my hands trembling. We start to walk down the hall. "So where are you from?" he asks. I bite my lip.
"California." I say.
"Oh, so your a Cali girl?" he asks. I laugh pushing him playfully.
"The opposite actually." We stop infront of a door, he takes my books for me and sends me in. I walk in and tell the secretary who I am, she sends me a few minutes later. I walk up to the door and knock on it. A "Come on in." comes through the door. I open the door and walk in. The woman is sitting in a chair with her computer infront of her. Her face looks really focused.
"Hi." I say. She looks up and smiles.
"Miss. Jordan, how was your flight?
