Chapter Two

Santana opened the door and she saw Brittany sitting on the couch with a worried look on her face and a cup of tea in her hand. ''How is he doing?'' Was the first thing Brittany asked. Santana looked  at Brittany and said:''He is ok now, Sam is  with him'' She gave her a comforting smile. Santana walked over to the couch and sat down next to Brittany, Brittany put an arm around her and Santana laid her head on Brittany's shoulder. ''I'm happy he is not alone anymore'' Brittany said. Santana lifted her head to look at Brittany and she looked at Santana ''Me too babe''  she laid her head back on Brittany's shoulder. "Did you ask why he started drinking again?" Brittany asked. Santana looked at Britt and she got a slightly concerned look on her face "I have no idea, when i finally got inside his house.. he was on the edge of passing out Britt, i didn't know what to do so, i called mr. Schue and he got Sam there as fast as possible, this wasn't Rainer"
"Hey" Brittany said :"He should be happy with you as a friend" And Brittany ended her sentence with a kiss. "Thanks Britt" and they went back to cuddling again.
Back in Lima:

"Have you thought about getting a job?" Sam asked Rainer. Rainer looked at Sam with a smile and said: "Yeah, I have, i found one actually" Sam looked at him confused "Why are you smiling for?, what job did you get?" Rainer walked to his bedroom and yelled "you will see Sam" and he laughed.

"Your weird" Sam yelled back. "I'm going to work, see you tonight weirdo". And then Sam left.

At McKinley:

When Sam walked into the teachers lounge it was weirdly silent. He checked his phone if it was the right time and it was 08:00 Am, where was everybody. He was so into his thoughts that he didn't notice mr. Schue walked in.
"Good morning Sam" Sam sprong up. "Shit, oh sorry Will, goodmorning". They both laughed "Where is everybody?" Sam asked. "I let the classes start an hour later today, you didn't get my e-mail?" Will asked. "I must have missed it, i was so busy with Rainer and his rehab, he has a job apparently".
"Yeah, i wanted to ask about that, how is he doing? Coffee?" Will walked over to the coffee machine.
"Black with one milk please, thanks. He is doing better, i feel that this time it's easier for him and it sounds weird i know, but i just feel like it is, does that make sense?" Sam asked.

Will handed Sam his coffee, Will sat down on the couch and said: "I don't know if it's easier but at least your there for him, he is staying at yours to right?" "Yeah he is".
"Look Sam, it will all work out just fine eventually" He said with a smile. "If you say so" Sam answered.
Sam was about to walk to his office when Will stopped him "Oh yeah Sam before i forget" Will stopped in front of him. "Your getting an assistant, he starts today, just be nice to him" Will said with a smile. "Why do i hear this just now?" Sam said and he waved his arms around. "I need to clean up my office" He turned around towards Will and said: "Thanks for the heads up Schue" He then stormed off to his office, he started to mumble hisself "new assistant, new assistant, i don't need one" Then a voice startled Sam and he hit his head :"I'm here for the assistant job" "Shit oh" Sam put his hand on his head and looked up. Rainer was standing there with a big smile on his face. "Your my assistant?" Sam was so happy, he gave Rainer a hug.

Will walked into the office and said: "Suprise" Sam looked confused. "This was all mr. Schue's idea, he gave me the job" Rainer said with a smile on his face. '''This is a good thing Sam, you can learn Rainer everything you know, i have to go now but happy your here Rainer'' He gave Rainer a pat on his shoulder and walked away.

''Allright Rain, the kids are gonna be a hour later today, so let's go over everything we're gonna do today'' They both walked into the choir room. Rainer looked around and looked at Finn's plague. Sam turned around to see Rainer looking at the plague. ''He would be proud of us both'' Rainer turned around to face Sam ''He would'' Rainer gave Sam a smile ''what are we gonna do today teach?'' Rainer jokes. ''We are gonna do vocal warm ups, think about songs for regionals and maybe do a couple musical games, depends on how long we're gonna take for the songs'' Sam said and he picked up the sheet music that was left on the piano. ''There so many memories in this room'' Rainer said, Sam looked up from the sheet music and answered: "Heartbreak and valentines'' he gave Rainer a smile.

After glee club:

''Did you like your first day?'' Sam asked in the car. ''Yeah, i gave some good advice to Jade about boys'' he laughed. ''That's good, that's a step, hey, we need groceries, i'm gonna stop by the store'' ''yeah ofcourse, Jade reminds me of Santana, she has an amazing voice but she is overshadowed by the talent of others'' Sam sighed ''don't worry, i know, i have plans for regionals''.

At the grocery store:

''Rain can you grab the meat for diner, i'm gonna get the vegetables, i will find you'' Sam walked away and Rainer walked to the meat section, he was up in his own thoughts and he didn't see the wheelchair. ''Oh sorry dude''. The guy in the wheelchair looked up and said: ''Rainer?'' he knew that voice ''Artie?, hey, how are you?'' he asked kindly. Artie didn't look all that happy to see him and asked: ''What are you doing here?'' he asked. ''I live with Sam since a week'' he said with a smile. ''Sam told us that you were in rehab''.

''I was, now i'm back, sober, and i'm living my live again'' Rainer gave him a smile but Artie still didn't smile back. ''Is there something going on?'' Rainer asked confused. ''Why are you even asking?, you missed our wedding'' Artie said and he looked disappointed, he wanted to wheel away but he stopped him ''I never gotten an invite'' now Rainer looked even more confused, ''i'm sure that i send you one, Tina delivered it to your house and handed it to a woman''.

Great, the invitation ended up in the hands of Rainers ex, that explains a lot.

''I'm sorry Artie, genuinely sorry'' Rainer said, ''I wasn't in a good place a few months ago but i should've reached out to Tina and you'' he looked at the ground. ''It's alright, now i know it wasn't your fault, come over for drinks sometimes... i mean alcohol free drinks'' they both laughed. Then Sam came and said ''Rainer, you only had to the me- Artie!, how are you doing? how is Tina?'' he gave Artie a hug ''Were doing fine, we're gonna try to have a baby'' Artie looked happy ''What! that's awesome dude'' Rainer said ''Congratulations'' Sam said. ''Yeah thanks, i really need to go, Tina is waiting, bye guys see you soon'' he wheeled away.
"There having a baby" Sam said, Rainer nod his head "Yup". They payed for the groceries and left the store.
