My name is Lilly. I'm thirteen, obviously a freshman. I'm a newbie at school. My parents expect a lot in me and I don't want to disappoint them. I see things, then I understand.

Chapter 1

"Good morning honey, first day's here" mom kissed my cheek and my eyelids fluttered. "Good morning mom" I answered with a smile. "Go freshen up your self, pancakes for breakfast" mom said. I got up and proceed to the bathroom. I'm quite nervous for school. I'll be so new in that university. What if everybody will be so mean? What if I fail in school? I hate "what if''s" Mom knocked and said, "Lilly, it's already 7:30. Class is at eight" I picked up my towel and went to my room to fix everything. I picked up my dress and knee-length socks, put on my shoes, and grabbed my knapsack. "I washed your bicycle, Lilly" dad said. "Thanks dad" I kissed him on the cheek.

The university was big and I really don't know where to go. I don't have friends nor a simple map of the university. "Where's my room?" I whispered to my self. "Where's the A-201 room?" I heard a feminine voice but she's not actually asking me; she's asking a teacher, I guess she's asking the principal. A-201 is my room too so turned back to searched for the voice and I found out that she's a mother with her child which will be my classmate. So this is embarrassing, I followed them in every step they take to reach my destination. Everyone here is a stranger for me, I wonder how I will adjust my myself. As I've reached my destination and entered, everyone's busy talking. Some are flirting with guys which is disgusting. I take a seat to comfort my self and observed everyone. There's this first girl who caught my attention- her name is Autumn. She's drop dead gorgeous. But there are no ways to be friends with her because it's too obvious that she's popular and I'm nothing in this school. Sitting beside Autumn is Demi. She's my ballet classmate when I was ten. I stopped dancing because of my mom. Mother said it will affect my study habits and school stuffs. As far as I know, Demi is a very good ballerina. I peeked into my bag and pulled out my pen. Basically, I have no idea why did I get this pen. Another gorgeous student entered. She sat next to me. I like her. I mean, I want her to be my friend or perhaps best friend. Students entered continuously until the bell rings.

"Good morning, students of Room A-201" a man said as he entered our room. I guess he'll be our professor. He's tall and presentable. Is he strict? I wish he's not. "Since today is the first day of classes and I have no idea who in the world are you guys..." he paused in a while and the class laughed. "Jesus. Sir, you are sarcastic" a goth girl said everybody laughed again including our teacher. "Shall I continue. Perhaps we should start introducing ourselves. Allow me to start. I am Mr. Jacob..." he cut the line and howled "Jacob in Twillight" and the class laughed again. "Mr. Jacob Anderson. Call me Mr. Anderson" Mr. Anderson is funny and not strict which is cool. Jane introduced herself after Mr. Anderson. Jane was bullied (in my perception). I don't know. She's beautiful because she's not dainty as Autumn? Well I'm not dainty as hers too. Duh, guys. Duh. And others followed. It's Autumn's turn. I listened. "Good morning classmates. I am Autumn Gabrielle Constance you can call me..." "Fall" a good looking boy mocked and then he snorted. Autumn rolled her eyes and continued "You can call me Autumn. I lead cheerleading at Freshmen" I knew it. She's popular. When Autumn was done, my ears flew and the others continuously introduced theirselves until it was my turn. I stood up and began to speak "Uhh. Good morning, classmates..." I stopped because everyone's talking which made me feel unaccepted. "Shut it, guys" Autumn announced in the class and smiled at me. "My name is Lilly Steele" I continued. "Obviously, a newbie here. I'm thirteen. I live at Fort Lauderdale Village." I paused. "I beg for respect" I emphasized. Everyone was in deep silence and then I sat down. It's my soon-to-be best friend's turn. "Hi. So I am Carrie Smith. I have one name so call me Carrie. I'm thirteen but if you guys will sing the 'Happy Birthday' song, I'll be fourteen" she stopped and waited for us to sing. And so we sang "Happy birthday, Carrie. Happy Birthday, Carrie. Happy birthday, dear Carrie. Happy birthday to you" and she continued, "Thank you, guys. I'm fourteen" and she sat down. I reached out for my Sticky Notes and wrote "Happy Birthday, Carrie :)" and I gave it to her.

Recess. I didn't went to the cafeteria because 1. I don't have a single friend to eat with and 2. I have no idea where is the cafeteria. There were new students too who didn't went out. I have nothing to eat right now so I just pulled out my book from my bag and read. I feel like somebody is walking near to me. I looked up and saw Jane smiling enthusiastically. She sat next to me. "Hey there, Lilly" she said. I don't know if I should talk to her or not. I don't talk a lot. It took me three seconds to react "Hey" I finally spoke. "I'm Jane. Well I'm trying to familiarize every one of you" she said. I'm not even asking her. "Well, one down and lots of more to go" I said to her and then she's gone and continues to entertain my classmates one by one. Even guys.

Mr. Anderson spent the whole day talking-telling us about the rules and regulations about the school and other stuffs. As I stepped out of my room, I saw Autumn with her popular friends too, I guess. Demi's with her. I always caught Demi's eyes look at me. She's not entertaining me thoug. I don't know if she's still familiar with me or she's ignoring me just to be cool. (I will update as soon as possible. Please comment, guys. I'm begging you)
