(A couple weeks later.)

Timothy had forgotten all about the incident in the forest. But he quickly remembered when his mom told him to leave his brand new soccer ball, he had gotten for getting all A’s on his report card, that had rolled into the forest. He didn’t complain, yell or even stomped his feet once, he just went outside, sat down and stared into the forest wondering what could be so dangerous in there for his mom to not let him go in there to retrieve his ball.

The next day, his mom felt bad for her son and decided to go get it. She told him: “don’t come follow me, remember that I love you”. She then left without saying another word; she didn’t even look back at her son as she opened the glass slide door to go outside. His mother went into the woods, got the ball and ran out quickly. She opened the door and walked in and murmured to herself: “the rumors must be false”. Then she gave the ball to Timothy and went in to her room without another word, leaving Timothy speechless.

Later that night, Timothy’s dad arrived just before supper. His mom was cooking supper and a special desert for who knows for what occasion. The smell of apple pie was spreading across the house. It smelt delicious. The smell would make your stomach grumble even if you were full.  “I’m home every one!” said Timothy’s dad. Timothy ran up to him and gave him a huge bear hug. “Hi Marie supper smells really good” he said giving his wife a kiss on the cheek. “It’s almost ready, Timothy can you get the plates out please” his mom said. Without any complaints he went to go get the plates out. “I guess the fortune teller was wrong. I had to go get Timothy’s ball in the woods and nothing happened.” She whispered hoping Timothy wouldn’t hear.  Her husband gave her a worried look and said: “It’s a good thing! You could have been killed! At least we now know it’s safe to go in there.”

Marie then returned into the kitchen to finish the last touches on supper and then they all sat down to eat their wonderful little feast she had prepared. They had a nice big slice of ham each, 2 big spoonfulls of mashed potatoes and of course lots of green beans. It was as delicious as it smelt, if they had to give a mark, it would have been a 10 for sure!

After, Timothy’s dad, Jacob, suggested going for a walk in the woods (to see if it was really safe).Marie wasn’t one hundred percent sure about this, but in the end she agreed, but only if they were to bring their dog Sam with them.                                                                                                                                         Sam, a 3 year old, Bernese mountain dog was talking the lead as they strolled through the almost dark woods. The sounds of rustling leaves and squirrels would make Marie jump every time. So Jacob held her hand and whispered: “It’s all right”. But that didn’t stop her from jumping at all the forest sounds. “It’s getting cool out we should return” Marie said shivering. Timothy agreed.

When they arrived back home Marie looked the glass slide door and went to reheat the apple pie quickly.  After desert, they sat down on the brown velvet sofa in front of the fire to play a board game. They choosed Timothy's game   favorite game. They played untill it was pitch black, then they had to stop.Timothy had school in the morning. So he went to go get ready. His parents stayed sitting on the sofa. “Will be right in to kiss you” They said.

Breaking the silence Jacob whispered: “See nothing bad happened”. “I know, I was just a little scared,” Marie whispered back. They then went into Timothy’s room to tuck him in. Taking turns giving him huge kisses, they said: “I love you; don’t let the bed bugs bite!”Off course this made Timothy laugh, and then they left to go watch TV. Their favorite TV show was on so they had to hurry before it started.

In the morning, Timothy woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon cooking. He quickly jumped out of bed and rushed into the kitchen. His mom was waiting for him with a huge smile on her face. She handed him his breakfast and told him to hurry up or he would be late for school. After, his mom walked him to school.

On her way back she decided to take a short cut through the woods or she would be late for work. The walk would take around 5 minutes. So she startedher journey. About half way through her walk she heard something. It was the sound of some thing fluttering like a butterfly would do to fly. She jumped when she saw the beautiful blue insect right beside her on her shoulder making a cold shiver run down her spine. That made it fly away but all she could think of was how angry her boss would be if she was late. So she completely ignored the fact that it was not a butterfly that landed on her shoulder.
