I got up from the pavement and felt a sharp pain in my lower gut. I called my mom and told her I was 'robbed' on the way to school and that I needed to go to the emergency room. She rushed to the alley I was beaten in, and took me to Ellis Hospital. I sat on the bed and waited for the doctor to arrive.
