Bruna was walking down the gravel path, her shoes making crunching sounds on the gravel as she looked around. She was very annoyed as she couldn't find the meetup building in town where she was supposed to get her job paper from. She saw a young boy with boots on and a black formal long sleeve shirt with shorts on that his boots were about the length of, as he looked about 9. She ran over to him, making loud crunching sounds. He swung his head at her in fright, but then calmed down seeing it was just her, a 12 year old girl who seemed to look annoyed, but friendly. "Hello...see your holding a paper in your hand..where did you contain that from..?" Bruna ask nervously, leaning down at the short boy. "Yes! From the Job Enforcer a few steps away from here! It is..uh- yes, that way." The boy point west. "Okay thanks..I must go, but before, must I ask why you work at such a young age?" Bruna say quietly, looking down at him instead of leaning. The boy just shrugged, and walked back inside without a goodbye. How unpleasant. Bruna would think, abit disrespected without a goodbye as in this town everyone says atleast a 'Tippy!' before they walk away, which around here is how you shall say 'Bye'. As Bruna got lost in her thoughts, she shook it off and started to walk, ignoring the unpleaseant yelling in each house window she went past. She had arrived at the building, and opened the door, making a loud ding sound, which frightened her at first. She saw a boy with long brunette hair walking by her, with his eyes closed in focus, a few papers in his hand, as though he knew where he was going. Bruna looked straight forward, not to be rude with a stare. He had bumped into her with his side, and then almost to trip, he held himself up and gave Bruna a deathstare as he walked out, making another 'Ding!', which again frightened her. She gave a nervous deathstare back, then kept to walk arrive at the counter. "Hello, Jutel..may I have my recent paper assignment, please?" she'd say, quietly, ignoring eye contact. "Ah yes, Agbruna you are?" Jutel ask, putting his arm on Bruna's shoulder. "Yes, Mr. Jutel, you are right..." "Ah yes, Bruna, you may sign this paper." Jutel hand the dark brown colored paper with grey writing on it. Bruna looked at it, and then grabbed it right out of his hand. It was hers for sure, it said her name, the day, and of course..her job. Her job, of course...yes. Bruna looked at her paper, and carefully read it. "U-N-D-E-R-G-R-O-U-N-D" she read out. She knew it already, Underground works. Thats her job. "Sir...is there any other jobs?" she'd say. "No, Bruna. That is your job." Jutel whisper at her with a wink. "Nice look btw, creative. Now choo choo." he'd say, patting her on the head. Her being incredibly uncomfortable, she ran out, shutting he door. She looked up in the distance at the large, tall clocktower...she slowly walk to it.
When she arrived, she climbed down the ladder to the underground, and saw that boy she saw earlier. "Oh..hey!" Bruna said, nervous, putting her hand on his shoulder. He turned around, pushing her back. This time, he had a mask on. "Oh, its you." he said, annoyed. He had a tag on that read 'Angel'. "So..Uhm, Angel..? Nice to meet you..I guess? You work here too, don't you?" Bruna say, quiet and soft as usual. Her hands were lightly hovering below her neck. Angel ignored her, turning around and starting to dig. "I like your boots.." she said walking over to him, and grabbing a shovel that was by him, and then looking at him. "Start working." Bruna sighed of the response, their personalitys obviously went different ways together. "Maybe you can..compliment me back..?" Bruna said, holding the shovel in the ground, and then lifting up her head at him as he did also. "I like your hair." Angel said quickly, then began working again, till his shovel seemed to have hit metal. "Yes!" Angel shouted out loud, as if he had just accomplished something. "What is it?" Bruna asked curiously, walking over. Angel didn't answer, suddenly, all the dirt swooved into Bruna's face and some got into her mouth, which made her cough. "Sorry." Angel whispered. He didn't seem as sorry as he tried to sound, but then, Bruna must've ignored it. She put down the shovel and stared at a light green, seemingly fresh peice of seaweed swooshing around in the river waterfall. "Look! Its fresh seaweed." Bruna hopped up, and ran over to it, and then gripped onto it, attempting to pull it out. Suddenly it grew, wrapping around her neck and pulling her forward. Bruna screamed, and then Angels head shot up at the burning sound of it. "Idiot!" Angel whispered, running over to her and slamming his shovel on the enormous piece of seaweed. It let go of Bruna's neck, slithering back into the ground and all the dirt from the sides hovering over the hole to cover it. Angel pulled her, making her fall back. "That isn't seaweed idiot. That's a seaweed infection!" Angel yelled at her, making her feel a little self conscious about herself now. "W-Whats that, may I ask..?" Bruna asked, shivering of fear before Angel had realized the giant red slit across her neck. Angel refused to answer the question at this moment, grabbing her back up and holding her arm, quickly carrying her down the long staircase down to their bedroom door. He opened the door and then slammed it shut, putting her on the bed. "Look, I don't wanna take care of you..so don't be stupid!" Angel yelled at Bruna, and then sat by her, wrapping a bandage around her neck. He started to be more careful, taking a few deep breaths as he carefully sealed it onto her neck. You could see as Angel's mask seemed to untie in the back, and then it slammed onto the ground, revealing a blood stain around his mouth. Angel wiped the blood off his mouth and looked at his hand. He wiped it on the wall and left the room leaving the door open. Bruna got up and slowly walked by the dark lake beside the unsafe concrete trail, as her shoes made echoing noises as they tapped on the concrete floor. She stopped as the entire room shaked, Angel came flying down the stairs and Bruna fell back, it felt as if everything was being tipped over. "Whats happening!?" Bruna was raising her voice up high, as the shaking became more violent and loud, and seemed to be getting closer. "Get in the room!" Angel said, clearly overly annoyed and in hidden fright. He was crawling to her as Bruna opened the door, she was being pushed against the wall due to the large winds. She lifted her hand up and opened the door, flinging herself into the room. Suddenly, everything stopped. Angel quickly got up and ran into the room, quietly shutting the door. "An-" right as Bruna was about to say what she was going to, Angel shushed her, and hiding under the covers leaving Bruna to take care of herself. Suddenly a wild shake came and a wild growl came from the lake. Bruna got up and ran and opened the door to see a giant gilled sharp-teethed monster almost as big as the lake, then it then take a dive underwater, as big currents headed their way. Bruna quickly went back in and slammed the door, to see Angel peeking out of the covers watching Bruna's every move. Suddenly, everything stopped. Bruna hopped up and Angel got up and sat on his bed as he rubbed his eyes, not so reason that made him so tired. "Does..does this happen usually?" Bruna asked, quietly opening the door to make sure everything's okay. "Millions of things happen around here, in that case don't be surprised if you see a giant brain-eating snake in the lake." Angel said, rather serious for a some-what joke. Bruna walked out as she saw nothing was there anymore. She saw a little trapdoor, and there was a book that slid out of it right in front of her eyes. She looked in fright someone else was here, before she realized Angel was standing right behind her. "Mail delivery." Angel leaned down to it, and read the cover. Your New. The book read clearly. Angel got up, and opened it up. There was paper, notes, and then a pencil rolled out, and Bruna picked it up before Angel could. Angel looked oddly over-tempered because she didn't let him grab it, but he ignored it. Though so, the look of upset still appeared on his face. Bruna put it in her pocket, and she carefully unfolded a piece of paper.
