DEAD.

The headline screams at me sending a pang of guilt into my heart knowing I was the cause of this death and the many others before them.

But they're not dead.

They're infected I keep telling myself but if I was to voice this aloud my fellow scientists would look down on me even more than they already do. Although it would be for and entire different reason than what it is at the many moment.

It would only add to their growing anger.

The night the infection got out and killed the humanity and changed so people of what they once were, the memory haunts me. Races, clashes and circles around my thoughts haunting me until all I want to do is put and end to it. A plan that was ment to improve and fix the world but backfired and needs reversing.

Daggers are sewn into the back of my head, each judging eye of my coworkers shooting into me in their attempts to rid me from their presence. Only it's not that easy. The formula was created so no one could replicate it with minimum weaknesses. The weaknesses being to to infected but not to the infection.

Time is running out and like a bomb soon everythings going to explode and hit the fan, i'm just hopping the solution comes to light.

I turn to the window hopping the right chemical reaction and formula will come to life but thats when I see it and know everyone in here is doomed.

Rushing to my safe I brought for a situation like this, sitting at the end of my work station I gather all my journals, suplies and notes and stuffed them in before sealing the fire proof and water proof safe shut.

Black snake like fingers scrape along the window creating a loud echoing screach that bounces against the walls and escapes by shattering the glass windows.

A scally hand reaches through and grabs hold of my ex-bestfriend's hair as it pulls causing emence pain to shoot through her skull that leaves her screaming as a sunken in lizard like face pulls up next to her and bites down. Not wanting to see more I take off running trying to find an escape root, only to realise we're surrounded.
