✶Chapter 4✶

5th Day in the Furniture Store and Im still trying to forget about what happened yesterday. What if mom wasn't really bitten and she was making a reason for us because she was too afraid.

"Chris are you ok?", John said with a worried look.

"Yeah, Im ok.", I smiled at him.

"Its not on your eyes.", he cupped my face with his hands.

"Its just-", I stopped and my mind plays a flashback of what happened yesterday.

"Chris just accept the fact that shes in a better place now.", he hugged me.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For being here with me no matter what."

"Because I lo- Im your big bro remember."

What did I just heard he was about to say something. Maybe Im just making that up. Nevermind Chris just focus on yourself.

"Wheres Alex?", I breaked the hug noticing Alex is not here.

"Uhm.", he said nervously.

"John where is he?!"

"He's with Greg and Gretchen."

"WHAT THE HELL AND YOU MAD HIM GO?!"

"Chris stop you're being overprotective. And Greg is with him don't worry."

"Dont worry?! Are you fucking kidding me. What if he got chased and die. I need to go.", I walked away.

"Chris.", he grabbed my arm.

"He needs to witness what its like outside. And do you really think were gonna last here forever. He needs to know how to survive."

"Thats why Im here to keep him safe."

"But sometimes your not always there, he's not a kid Chris. Trust him."

John has a point I dont need to go big sis on him always. He needs to know what I always do.

I nodded.

"Please can I just make sure if his ok."

"Ok.", he smiled.

Were like freaking spies that we hid behind stores making sure if my bro is safe.

We stopped in a clothing store.

"Im tired of hiding in the shadows Chris lets just stay here and just wait for them to pass by going home."

"Ugh, Ok"

He was laying down on the floor so I just laid beside him.

"Chris did you ever felt like you found a person that your willing to risk everything for that you're not really sure if she/he loves you or not? But sometimes you see signs that they're in to you."

"Yup.", I chuckled.

"I just wish-, nevermind."

"Tell me.", I moved closer to him that my was on his hand.

He was holding me closer all this time. I stared at him and listened to his breathing. He's smiled at me and said, "I wish that girl that I love would love me like I loved her."

"Who's the girl?", I said biting my lip holding that smile.

"Thats a secret I cant tell."

"Wow. Ok just tell me if your ready."

"You don't mind if-", He looked at gesturing to hug me.

"Nope its ok. Its good just imagine that Im the girl.", I said with a smile.

And he whispered something.

"What?"

"Oh nothing."

We cuddled and I felt his war embrace. I can feel his heart it was beating fast. I wish he liked me and obviously he likes a girl thats not me. I feel like crying but I cant I was so happy that I get to cuddle him.

"Chris?", he said and his deep voice vibrated on his chest where my ears was placed.

"Yes?"

"I- I think we need to go back."

"Can we just sleep here and cuddle. I just want to be alone with you."

FUCK WHAT DID I JUST SAID?

"Because you know Its pretty crowded here and your the only one who is willing to talk to me."

"How bout Greg?"

"I think he's a perv or something.", I laughed.

"Come on I know you like him."

"Yeah a little. But Im not really ready to fall."

"Ok after an hour we'll head back."

I nodded and hold him more closer to me. It felt like heaven hugging him.

After an hour we ran back to Furniture store we had.

"Where have you been?", Greg asked first.

"With John."

"Oh."

We ate and went to sleep. John slept beside me.

"Is it ok if were gonna cuddle here?"

I smiled and hugged him closer to me. So we just cuddled all night.

6th Day in the Furniture Store.

"Ohmyghad a new couple!!!", Ariana squalled.

"What the fuck?!", I woke up seeing a group of people surrounding us except... Greg?

"Were not a couple?", I sat up and fixed my hair.

"You cuddled together.", Alyanna said.

"Its a friendly cuddle.", I said slightly annoyed.

I was surprised because John is still in deep sleep. He looks cute and adorable when he sleeps. That lips I want to kiss those lips.

"Chris? Mesmerized by he's beauty huh?", all of them laughed.

"Im just surprised that he's still asleep."

I stood up and told the girls to get ready were gonna go shopping. All of the girls giggled. Girls. Im not really the average kind of Girl you expected to be. Im like the boyish type because I lived with my cousins for 5 years and all of them are boys. Im just doing this to make the Girl's feel happy.

"Hey boys come with us but Gretchen and Alex stay here and guard the store."

"I trust you on this Bro."

"Stay safe sis."

"Dont worry Gretchen we'll get all the clotjes and let you pick.", I smiled at her.

She seems so happy tho maybe she liked the idea its only the two of them left here.We walked outside and head to Forever 21...

"Guys new rule, Anything black is mine.", All of them laughed.

"Im serious."

"Don't worry about that Chris."

I just laughed and picked the clothes that we want. We put them on the bags that the boys carried.

"Your like our boyfies that carries our bags.", Alyanna said looking at Jake.

John looked at me and smiled, when I turned to Greg he was doing that seductive look on me again. I just looked away and laughed. It was a fun day and still no trace of zombies surprisingly. We went back and hang some clothes in the cabinets there. Mostly I got black leather jackets.

"Boys are next tomorrow."

"We don't need that.", Jake said.

"You cant live forever with that look."

"Oh yeah, sorry smarty pants.", we just laughed.

After that long day of shopping we got exhausted and we went straight up to bed. I haven't got any word from Greg or John, what happened to them? Fuck I need to focus on myself first.
