🌖CHAPTER 2~What Happened?

You woke up as soon as you felt emptiness beside you.

Tanjiro had gotten up.

"The suns up already," you asked while rubbing your eyes.

"Yeah, we need to head home now. Your mom is probably worried about you," he responded.

"Yeah, she always tells me to stay with you if it's after dark. Though, she never expects me to stay out that long. Knowing her, she probably went to your house to see where I'm at," you said while laughing slightly.

"Heh, yeah probably."

Y'all waved goodbye to the man and went on y'all's way to his house hand in hand.

He sniffed the air and let go of your hand and ran. You had no idea what was going but you knew that something was wrong.

"Tanjiro?! What's happening?!"

"I smell blood.."

After running y'all reached his house to find Nezuko and Rokuta covered in blood in front of the house.

Y'all screamed in horror as you ran to them, you glanced into his house and tears started to fall down your face. You looked forward and not to far away you saw your mom, more tears rolled down your cheeks at the sight of this.

'I knew she would come looking for me, but why did it have to end like this?'

You were drawn back into reality at the voice of Tanjiro yelling 'What happened?!'

You pointed into his house. He instantly looked and tears started to roll down his face, he got up to walk inside.

"Tanjiro," you yelled through tears, "Tanjiro, N-Nezuko is still warm, she's alive Tanjiro! We have to get her to the village!"

Tanjiro instantly ran to put her on his back. Y'all started to run to the village in unison.

"Maybe a doctor can save her," you looked at him, "Maybe this was a bear?! A bear to hungry to hibernate," he said looking over to you.

"Tanjiro, this was probably a demon."

After you said that Nezuko lifted her head up and started to scream.
(it technically screaming, right?)

Tanjiro then slipped, you tried to grab him, you did, but it was to late so you flew over the mountain side as well.

"Nezuko! Nezuko! Are you all right?! You shouldn't be up," Tanjiro started yelling, not realizing you had gone unconscious from hitting your head on one of the trees.

Tanjiro was flung over from his sister jumping on him, he held his hatchet in her mouth trying to comprehend what just happened.

'A demon! Was Nezuko a man eating demon? No, that's impossible! Nezuko has been human since the day she was born. Wait, the day she was born I met Y/n.. Where is she?!'

He was drawn out of his thought when Nezuko started to get bigger and stronger.

"Nezuko! Hold on Nezuko! Fight it! Fight it for your life! Be strong! Don't turn into a demon! You can do it! Nezuko!"

Tears started to run down Nezuko's face and fall onto Tanjiro's face.

He flipped Nezuko over and covered her as he saw a man come flying thru the air with a sword.

"Who..who is that?"

"Why do you protect her?"

"S-sister..she's my little sister!"

"GRAAR" was the only sound coming from Nezuko.

"That is your little sister?"

He came running towards him and snatched up Nezuko.

"Nezuko!"

"Don't move" the guy said. "Killing demons is my job. So of course, I'll take your little sister's head too."

"Wait! Nezuko hasn't killed anyone!"

~Time Skip Real Quick~

You woke up from the noise of a familiar voice yelling. You looked up to see a man screaming at Tanjiro for being weak and holding Nezuko, who has turned into a demon.

You were hella confused, and overly pissed from this incident.

"What in the of hell is going on here?! And how dare you call Tanjiro weak," the words just fell out of your mouth not noticing you made a distraction.

Tanjiro took this to his advantage and ran towards the man, you looked closely and saw he wasn't holding his hatchet anymore. Tanjiro got hit in the back with his sword, but you didn't do anything because you knew Tanjiro was smart. While he ran behind the tree you saw him yeet his hatchet in the air before running at the man.

Since this was going on you got a good look at his face.
'Giyuu?'

Nezuko tried kicking the Giyuu, she ran to Tanjiro and you stood up.

Nezuko protected Tanjiro and then ran at the dude and then she got knocked out.

You ran up to Giyuu and hugged him. He was mildly confused until he looked at your face.

He saw who you where and smiled.

"Y/n? Where's mom?"
