The Chase For Love

Chapter 1

"Ring,Ring", the alarm clock blasted with sound and resounded around my room.

I woke up from my slumber and dragged myself to the bathroom. It was a bright and glorious morning, the birds chirped merrily as the magnolia pale white clouds drifted past the sky. I instantly got dressed as I was worried to be late for my first day at school after the summer holiday. Mrs. Lime would severely punish anybody who are late for school. She is long in the tooth and wrinkles filled her face. As a disciplinary master everybody in school are petrified of her.

I decided to jog towards the school as a form of exercise. When I reached Kiridium High School it was already filled with students chatting away about their holidays. I scanned the nearby students hoping to catch a glimpse of Emma but it failed. Emma is a girl whom I had a crush on and had been secretly protecting her ever since I fell in love with her. Once when she was walking back home alone at night she encountered a wild dog on the street. She was so frightened that her face turned pale. I was hiding behind a wall spying on her ensuring that she is safe until she reaches her home. Just then at the corner of my eye I spotted a dead bird and an idea ignited in my head. Even though it was gross and disgusting, I scooped up the deceased bird threw it beside the dog hoping that it gets distracted. The bird whizzed past the air and landed beside the dog, even though it was not the spot I wanted it to land on. The dog immediately scurried beside the dead bird and smelled it. Emma took this chance and ran away with all her might. I heaved a sigh of relief and headed back home.

I shook out from my daydream and headed to class. On my way to class, I made a resolve to confess to Emma and let her know how I feel for her. Just then, I saw Emma's silhouette and hid behind a locker. Goosebumps started to appear on my arms as she approached towards the locker I was hiding. Cold sweat poured down on my forehead as my hands turned cold and clammy.

" I like you Emma, would you be my girlfriend?"

Eh? Why is it a boy's voice? I thought to myself.

Due to my curiosity, I took a peek out and saw Johnny Hillson! Johnny is the class magician and he likes to flaunt his "powerful magic skills" to everybody in class. He is muscular and tall but he likes to bully the weaker people in class like me. I never like him from the start of the school. He had been a pain in the ass to many of the teachers and classmates. I was hoping fervently in my heart that Emma would say "No" to that bully. I crossed my fingers as I trembled watching those two talk.

" Sure I would hang out with you " .

My heart almost shattered into pieces upon hearing this. A surge of sorrow built up in me as my face became red like a tomato. My vision became blurry as it was covered with tears. I dashed out of the hallways into the toilet as thousand of eyes stared at me as I run thinking that I am a weirdo. My whole world started to twirl around as I hid in the toilet cubicle crying. I felt like dying.

Just then a streak of light appeared in front of me.
