A billion years ago, millions of light-years away from Earth, there lived a lonely creature that went by many names but was famously known as Mania, the goddess or mother of souls. Not only did she give birth to every soul in the universe, but she was also the controller of prophecies and destinies. Looking upon her children, she saw a flaw in her creation. They were lonely and unhappy and sought the same affection she also craved desperately. Deciding to change the fate of her children, she designed each soul to be split in half, creating a link in a bond that would be indestructible in hopes that the split souls would one day find each other and live happily together in harmony.

In many worlds, they were called soulmates. A pairing so strong that even the most powerful of gods could not destroy it. The link is displayed by a mark that imprints on the skin of each soulmate, showcasing the symbol of that person's soul. The connection would be immediately upon first glance, and would be strengthened through the bonds performed by each soulmate. This new creation brought happiness and love to the universe. But it also brought jealousy and war. Not every child was born with a soulmate, and this brought envy and greed upon the nine realms. Her very own daughter was a victim of this, falling in love with a God who was destined to be with someone else.

Mania's grandson, Eirik, was birthed out of soul lock, making him illegitimate to the throne of Asgard. After being banished to Earth, Eirik vowed to get his revenge and erase every soulmark in the universe. But, unbeknownst to him, a child was born on earth, baring the soulmark of seven different souls. By uniting the heroes of earth, that child was able to defeat Eirik and foil his plans, becoming the goddess of soulmates.

However, her destiny is not over. For there were many creatures in the universe that still had hate in their heart, and sought control and domination to bring complete balance to the universe. Using her newfound powers, the girl with the seven marks must unite a team so mighty that peace would be brought to life as we know it once and for all.

But, it will not be easy.

Chapter One

April 7th, 1994
Houston TX

"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Alyanna, happy birthday to you!"

The little brown hair girl smiles brightly before closing her eyes and making her wish. Opening her eyes, she leans down and blows out her five candles. The crowded room of friends and family clapping cheerfully as the birthday girl beams back happily.

"That's my girl!" Dr. Arnold Jones claps as he throws an arm over his daughter's shoulder.

"One more photo," Kimberly jones gushes as she holds up a camera and snaps a picture of her daughter and husband posing by the cake.

"Can I go play with my new presents now?" Alyanna asks while looking up at her father with puppy eyes.

Smiling, Arnold nods before helping her down. "But don't you want a piece of cake?" Kimberly questions as she cuts into the pretty pink and blue vanilla cake.

Alyanna shakes her head. "I want to play with my new action figures mommy!"

Kimberly sighs but was hushed by her soulmate. "She can have cake later Hunny," he says to her while pecking her cheek lovingly.

Kimberly nods in approval and Alyanna runs off with a few other kids to play with her new toys.

After serving cake to the other kids and parents, Kimberly was in the kitchen washing dishes. Arnold walks up behind her, snaking his arms around her waist while hugging her lovingly. "This was a great party love, all our friends are here."
