Annika's POVAs I step in one of the clubs on an alien street - I have been roaming around for more than an hour now - I am bombarded by the smell of alcohol, stale cigarette smoke, sweat and perfume. The extremely loud music is very uncomfortable to my ears. I let my eyes adjust to the dim light and as I glance around, I step back and out of the club in fresh air.
This isn't me. I don't belong here.
A voice from deep inside of me shouts at me and reality hits me, hard. I am not a club person and neither so stupid to become an alcoholic after my breakup. I am a doctor who tends to help her patients.
Moreover, I am not feeling like I should. All the time spent with Sam was undoubtedly amazing but after he ditched me, I don't feel like crying. Sam walking out of my life isn't even disturbing me. The only thing which is disturbing me is why did Shivaay do that? Why would he even do that?
I shrug all the thoughts away and try to focus on getting peace of mind and how to find my way back to my house to get rid of cold. I am literally freezing with my legs left uncovered to the chilly air. Thankfully, I have Shivaay's coat.
I slide my hands in the coat's pockets and there's something in the right one. I take it out and look at it for a little longer in admiration. It's elegant. It's a heart shaped necklace with crimson emeralds. I have no idea what is it doing in Shivaay's pocket, neither do I want to know.
After roaming for another hour, I am finally standing in front of my apartment. Thankfully, the keys are at the place I hid them in case of emergency. My apartment is a mess. I have even lost the count of the days I wasn't here.
Omkara's POV
It's been two weeks since Annika is missing. Upon asking Shivaay that night where Annika was, we got a very harsh reply. "Mind your own businesses. I fired her." His eyes had rage and he was looking no less than a hungry wolf. I am not sure if he was Shivaay only. After that, it's now that we, Rudra and I, are seeing him. He is storming out of the house. I run to him and stop him.
"Where are you going Shivaay?" I ask and he takes a deep breath and straightens his shoulders before turning towards me.
"I am going to meet Annika. I was very rude to her that night. I want her back." He tells with a smile and I nod. He turns round and takes two steps forward before turning to face me gain.
"And btw, it's been a long time since you both are here. You should go back. Business needs you." He pats on my shoulder twice and walks out playing with his right ear lobe with his thumb and forefinger.
Shivaay is correct. We almost forgot about business. Rudy and I'll have to return to India soon and if Annika will be ready to treat him again, I'll be carefree. She treats her patients as family.
Annika's POV
2 weeks have passed and there is no trace of Shivaay, no calls, not even a message. After that night, after Sam walked away, I felt bad. He was nevertheless, a great friend. He came here a week back and we had a very serious conversation. I realized that it was never love, whatever it was with Sam, it wasn't love and I am glad to realize it.
I have rejoined the hospital and I am happy with my patients. Right now, I am sitting in my gallery, reading 'Paper Tows' and I can't describe how intriguing it is. There's a knock at my door. I place the book on the table and jog towards the door.
Shivaay is here.
"Hi" He says fiddling with his fingers and I open the door more to let him in. He settles on the couch and I sit opposite him.
"I am sorry Annika." He says simply and I smile. He is not fully at fault. His stupid step made me realize something important. I am thankful to him.
"It's okay." I tell.
"I wanted to tell you something." I get up and motion him to stop. I walk inside and grab the necklace from my cupboard to give it back.
Shivaay is sitting there playing with his right ear lobe. I close my eyes and try to remember where I have seen this before. "Shit" comes from my mouth and I keep the necklace back in the cupboard and walk towards him.
"What was that you wanted to tell me?" I ask sitting on the couch. He has stopped playing.
"I have found a new doctor for myself and she is just perfect. I didn't even have to kidnap her." He tells with a smirk fully known to me.
"That's great! I would like to meet her. I guess I will be a lot of help to her." I tell and his jaw muscles clenches.
"Why do have to get into everything Doctor Annika?" His face is reddening his face is being covered with sweat. He will burst any second.
"Welcome to my place Shawn Walker." He loosens his tie and opens the collar button.
"What brings you here Shawn Walker?" I say in the most mocking voice and he gets up.
"How did you know?" He asks nervously. It's the first time I am seeing him nervous. A good sign.]
"Someone here is smarter Mr. mastermind." I say with a smirk and he tugs at the roots of his hair in frustration.
"Because of you! Only because of you and your treatment, Rian, Charlie and Ronnie are gone. I told you to go away, you bitch." He is one angry man and he is controlling a lot now.
"Wow! I have climbed three steps. Now, only 6 left to victory." I say and he throws the vase placed on the table on the wall and it breaks into pieces.
"I only came here to tell you to stay away from now on but you have angered me and no choice is left."
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"AKBER"
