That night, Sally and Zoe went to a party. This was a pretty rare occurance, but their intentions had to be a first. Sally was actually going to talk to Jeff. He was waiting for her behind the snack table.
When Sally saw him, the only thing she could think was "Our eyes locked across a crowded room, and I knew right then that I was in love with him." She took a few nervous steps in his direction, wobbling in the too-high heels Zoe had loaned her. This had all seemed like a good idea at the time, but Sally was starting to have her doubts.
When Jeff saw Sally, he didn't hesitate. "Hey, Sal," he said, leaning over to hug her. Sally smiled back, a little startled, but pleased all the same. "So, what's up?" She asked.
Jeff glanced around nervously. "Let's go somewhere private. Okay?" He asked.
Sally didn't know why, but at that point, all she knew was that she didn't want to be alone with Jeff for some reason. But she didn't want to seem like a baby, so she went anyway.
