This is a very professional page, most definitely.
For the most part, this will be reserved for giving background information needed to understand the stories at face-value.
Appok is a world run by multiple gods, each with different or similar jobs, although they rarely show themselves to mortals. There are multiple races, and the world has existed for thousands and thousands of years.
Below are all of the common races, except for the Bukikin, who are kinda rare.
Humans, has many variants with different features. The only race that can wield magic without difficulty. Normal humans are very common, but their variants are usually not at all rare. There isn't a general consensus towards humans due to how many there are.
Pinines, half-goat like creatures. Usually have horns and live for a long time. They are extremely fast runners, and eagerly mesh into human cities and culture. They are a well-liked race. (Based vaguely on a cult of the god Pan)
Sickren, creatures with the bottom half of their body being adorned with feathers and four wings on their thighs. They cannot actually fly, but live in mountains. Often associated sickness. (Based vaguely off of Greek Sirens and Icarus)
Pusa(Pusen), a race that shifts their forms between that of a humanoid to a snake. Weak to silver and alcohol. Often associated with trickery. They are pretty disliked, but not completely seen as evil. (Based on Medusa/general Druids)
Arkbor's, people of the trees. Skin is made of bark, four root/spiderlike legs. Very tall, often associated with healing. Must go into hibernation for a week once a year, where they reconnect with nature and become normal trees. Occasionally join human civilizations, but generally don't trust them due to being killed during their hibernation. They are generally liked. (Based on trees. Just trees. That's it.)
Araen, creatures of the afterlife(good and bad). Basically skeletons, but with horns. Generally associated with curses and fortune. They are most often reincarnations. Their reputation is, surprisingly, pretty positive.(Based on just Spooky scary skeletons, insert sans memes here please.)
Mermaid, water-based creatures with gills and a shark-like tail for legs, except they have wings on their tail. Can fly in the rain towards the clouds. Often don't out of fear of being stuck. There is a somewhat common variant that has no wings and beautiful singing voices. They can shed their tails and become human at the temporary cost of their voice and their long lifespan. Not many races are aware of them. (Where could this have poSSIBLY COME FROM)
Bukikin, a race of demons who somewhat mesh within society. No one likes them being on Appok usually, so they use magic to conceal their appearance and look human. When not in hiding, they generally have various shades of bright skin, white eyes, various numbers of feathered wings and white streaks running down their faces. Most Bukikin cannot cast magic while hiding, but even while not hiding they cannot cast much on the surface.
Thats about all that's important, because it's really hard to explain what is going on in some of these because of the sheer racial diversity/weirdness.
Either way, enjoy, and please tell me if any particular writing is enjoying, since I'll probably write a continuation of it.
