Xueqing's POV
[ This happens after they meet ]

Why do I feel I know him when I definitely haven't met him before? Is he someone I once knew but forgot? All those thoughts came to mind, but I just couldn't find a worthy answer to them.

I looked up at him and realized he was daydreaming, looking so engrossed in his own thoughts. "Urm....he-llo-o??," I said to him while waving my right hand at his face. He awoke from his morning slumber and looked straight into my eyes, god damn it I felt I was drowning in the deep brown pools of his eyes.

"Sorry, I'm easily engrossed in my thoughts" He said. I laughed heartily and looked at him with suspicion at what kind of thoughts he might have been talking about.

Dishen's POV:
[ This happens when he is thinking ]

Looking at Xueqing, I'm reminded of that scene of her almost killing herself. She said she wanted to kill me but changed her mind because she loved me too much. I saw selflessness in her when she pointed the gun at herself, or perhaps haste, to get herself out of her misery. It was lucky I saved her however.......

"Urm, he-llo-o??" She said while waving her right hand at my face. I awoke from my train of thoughts and looked at Xueqing, the Xueqing who was so familiar to me but she who could not remember me at all anymore.

"Sorry, I'm easily engrossed in my thoughts." I said with a smile. "Hahaha...,"she laughed heartily while looking at me. This evoked a sense of familiarity in me, the laugh that had laughed at me when I was once deep in thoughts, the laugh that came naturally, the laughter that made me happy. I would have died just to hear that chirpy laughter again.

"I'm Xueqing, what's your name?" She asked after all the laughter pangs had died down. I smiled, "I'm Dishen and it's nice to meet you."

Xueqing smiled and waved goodbye to me, before walking towards the stairs but occasionally turning her head backwards and laughing as though there was a clown behind her. Or perhaps she was just wary....

Xueqing's POV
[ This happens while she is walking to the stairs ]

I bade that Dishen goodbye before walking in the direction of the stairs. I kept turning my head backwards to see him again, because I felt we knew each other, as if a thread was bounding us together.

As I walked down the winding staircase, I felt that this visit to the museum was one that made me feel like Xueqing, like the other half of me that I was not familiar with. Was it so that I really knew him? Or is it because he gave me a sense of belonging in this world where I was alone?

Well, that still remains a mystery for me to decipher. Anyways, back to visiting places that might help jolt my memory....

Narrator:
Dishen came out of his car which was parked right outside of his house, he leaned on his car, and stared at the already darkening skies.

The cracked shadows of the trees and the long shadows of the street lamp, it felt unpleasantly disturbing. The air was filled with deafening silence albeit occasional chirping sounds from the birds.

Dishen's POV

I pinched my nose bridge and took deep breaths. I, after so long had finally met the girl I loved. Even though she now couldn't remember me but I was contended with her being her happy, cheerful self rather than that revengeful evil self of hers.

I guess love was like this, knowing that her life would be so much better without him. But one day, she will remember her past, and when that happens, what's going to happen to her then? Will she still be bent on revenge? Or would she become someone else? That is something I can never foresee but only predict.... *sighs*

"Argh......." A shrill ear piercing scream filled the rows of shophouses. Birds perched on the rooftop flew away in fright as though an approaching danger was nearby.

I was shocked but as another of such scream came, I realized the sound was coming from my house. Was it Diyao, my dearest little sister??

Without further ado, I ran to the door, unlocked it and sprinted to the source of the noise......

"Argh..........."
