Where it all began

Tani's pov

I start my new job at five 0 tomorrow and to be honest i'm pretty nervous. i'm worried they wont like me because i'm a girl and they are all guys. I don't want to be looked down on. but as my dad used to tell me, "there is nothing to fear but fear itself." And man wasn't that just a bunch of bullshit. ughhhhh i just want everyone to like me. I have to make a good impression.

TIME SKIP ( to the next morning)

I wake up and get ready. I'm actually not as nervous as I thought I'd be. I'm surprisingly excited. I then go grab myself a cup of coffee, jump on my moped and I'm off. once I arrive I go through security and get a few weird looks when I say I'm working for five 0's team. I just shake it off and go to the elevator, once again earning a few weird glances. once it dings on my floor I step out and am greeted by a familiar face. The one of Steve Mcgarret of course.

"Hey everybody, i'd like you to meet our new recruit, Tani Rey. please make her feel at home." he announced and then all eyes were on me.....yay.

A bigger like guy walked up to me with his hand out, "Hey there, I'm Jerry. I do all the techy stuff around here. its a pleasure to meet you." he says with a smile. i give a small smile in return and say "its a pleasure to meet you too."

Next up was an Asian looking man his name was Adam. then there was Lue. And of course Danny. and that was the team, my team. Well minus one but Steve said he couldn't make it today. Oh well I'm sure it's just another old guy who is far from perfect like the rest of us.

I mean just thinking about my past sends chill up my spine. They can never know about my past. Ever....
