LISA'S POV

"Once again, have a great week everyone and enjoy the fun-filled activities and events that we have prepared for you!"

Jennie smiled one last time before stepping back from the podium and going out of the stage.

I watched eagerly each time she spoke, appreciating every single little movement she made. Watching her from the audience makes me feel as if it's impossible to reach her from where I stand.

I clapped my hands, together with the crowd, as I waited patiently for her to look my way.

Suddenly, Rosé clung her arm on mine, softly dragging me towards the stage when other students were just about to scatter all over the campus.

"Unnie!" Rosé called.

She stopped talking to Jisoo and Irene to look at us, my frown automatically appearing when I realized that Kai was behind them.

I can feel Jisoo and Irene eyeing me with a smirk, making me conscious of my facial expressions. Dammit.

"Hey Rosie, Lisa," Jennie greeted us, not looking at my eyes long enough.

"There they are!" Rosé suddenly pointed behind us, where their parents are walking towards us.

Some parents, specially those involved in the school's planning like Jennie's, were present. I heard it's because Jennie's the council president, that's why her parents were also specifically invited to witness the ceremony earlier.

"Hello there sweethearts," Aunt Jas greeted us all with a huge smile, the same smile Mr. Park is wearing beside his wife.

"Hi Aunt Jas, Uncle Andrew," Kai budged in before I even got the chance to greet them, I mentally rolled my eyes.

"Hello there Kai," Aunt Jas smiled at him, who then turned to greet me with a hug, "Hello darling."

"You look younger than the last time I saw you," I playfully said, earning her and her husband's laughter.

"That's what I always tell her," Uncle Andrew grins at me, "She thinks I did something wrong whenever I say it. Tell me, you didn't do anything wrong with my daughters, did you?"

I bit my lip in which they think I'm suppressing a laugh, but in reality, the question made me uneasy.

"Dad!" Rosé clings to his dad's arm like a little girl that she is to Uncle Andrew, "Don't scare her."

"You know how your dad is to people you... like," Aunt Jas chuckled with a hint of tease, "..and you're friends with."

Oh, no, no. Their parents can't....

I awkwardly shifted my weight to another foot as I forced out a smile.

"Ya!" Rosé shyly hugged her mom's side, obviously embarrassed.

They look like a happy family, the three of them, while Jennie was silently standing beside her friends.

I glanced at her, wanting to stand beside her, to be her family on times like this, even when she already has one.

I don't know since when I started to fill her insecurities with assurance, that someone can be with her despite her thinking she is alone.

But she isn't. She has her family, and I can be her family. I want her to see that.

If anything, I'm the one who doesn't have a real family. I'm just glad Siwon and Dara already takes the role of my family, at least I don't feel so alone at home.

Jisoo and Irene awkwardly stood on their place, while that quarterback guy remained clueless, smiling at the sight.

"Alright you guys, how about we treat you all for lunch?" Uncle Andrew called out on us.
