"Thanks for coming."
"I don't understand, Scrappy." Daphne said.
"Yeah," Fred agreed "what's this all about?"
"It's about Shaggy and my Uncle Scooby. I'm worried about them." Scrappy explained.
"Why?" Daphne asked.
"They just... haven't been themselves." the pup confessed.
"I know why." Velma spoke up.
"You do?" Daphne asked.
Velma nodded.
"What's tomorrow?" she asked.
"Valentines day." Fred replied.
"So what?" Scrappy questioned.
"We've all got someone, all except Shaggy and Scooby that is. Think about it. Daphne, you and Fred have each other, and I have Omar." Velma explained.
"So? The guys never care about being alone on Valentines day." Fred pointed out.
Scrappy and Daphne nodded in agreement. Then suddenly, Daphne was hit with realization.
"Crystal and Amber!" she gasped.
"Who?" Scrappy asked, confused.
"Oh. I hadn't thought of that. The poor guys." Fred said quietly.
"Should we cancel our plans?" Daphne questioned worriedly.
"No." Velma answered "Our pity wouldn't help."
"Who are Crystal and Amber?" Scrappy demanded, stepping up onto the table and interrupting their conversation.
"Before we tell you, you must understand that we never could have known what would have happened in that little town all those years ago." Velma cautioned.
