Autumn didn't know too many things but she knew one thing for sure- she did NOT like Elias Davis one bit.

Not only had this seven-year-old crashed HER birthday party and blew out HER candles when their moms weren't looking, he had also impressed all of her guests and stole their attention away from her.

All while shooting her a triumphant smirk. Like he had won.

And for Autumn Delia Parker- her mother's angel and her father's princess- this was completely and totally unacceptable.

The newly-turned six-year-old declared war on him that day, glaring out across her backyard from the tree house in all her pink, sparkly, tutu-ed glory. She decided to never let him live it down- to be as ruthless as she could possibly be (or at least as passive aggressive as she could).

(She wanted to be liked after all).

That night in bed, after slipping into her favorite nightgown and brushing her teeth, she made a promise with herself to never let Elias win ever again.  A promise that would stay in her mind for years to come.
