Chapter 4

Odin stood in front of us now as he gathered the attention of the crowd, I can feel my hands shaking and feeling nervous which Frigga noticed. She walks closer to me and whispered.

  “My child, don’t show your nervousness because it will spoil the surprise”. Then she laugh, which help me to relieve myself. She really knows how to cheer my spirit up.

When I look back to Odin, he had already had the attention of the crowd and ready to make the announcement. I try to look for Loki but I can’t seem to find him anywhere.

“People of Asgard and Midgard I call upon a feast to celebrate another year of greatness for the treaty for both of the Realms and the end of the chaos and wars but it is not the only reason why I gathered you here, As some of you are aware many years ago there was a war in the realm Vanaheim, where the some of our great soldiers and I came to their aid but it is just not what happened that time, the King and Queen of Vanaheim, Iwaldi and Freya gave the most important treasure of the Realm, their child…..” Odin stated, and this makes me look at him closely, I can finally know how these things were made why and did my parents left me to Odin. Then he continue.. “…this child was the future Queen of Vanaheim, their rightful ruler, they left her in my safe keeping because the late Queen Freya feared of the future that will happened to this child but that is not all……..Because of that a deal was made as a return to the favour they ask…the child will be betrothed to an Asgardian and shall be her rightful king. The Queen chose that her daughter shall marry one of my sons in the favour that the both realm will have a strong bond, the betrothal was eventually made years ago and this child is now all grown up and ready to fulfil the betrothal and this child is this very young Lady, Princess Sigyn of Vanaheim.” Then he looked at me and took my hand and made our way to the center of the hall.

“And I can see you already meet this fine young princess and some of you even become close to her and even my two sons; Thor and Loki have known her in their childhood and now that the time had come and thing are already arranged she shall be wed to the future King of Vanaheim; Loki my son…” I can see everybody’s reaction to this, they were all shocked but then started cheering and clapping because who would not want this betrothal, two of the most powerful realm will be bound and be united. The people move aside as Loki started to walk towards us with a blank expression and no sign of emotion or happiness. Then the stand beside me and smiled to the crowd, which made the people eventually shout in happiness and joy. Then Odin said gave his blessing to us and the feast continued. Loki took my hand and we started to walk to the balcony, still looking at me with a blank expression. This is hurting me now actually because I don’t know what he was thinking or if he is against this, but what happened next had shocked me………………………..

Loki crashed his lips to mine, he kissed me, he really kissed me!...this kiss was passionate and longing; slow and gentle; his emotions rush towards me like he is talking to me in this kiss, I can feel every touch and this showed me that he was happy very happy. These rush of emotions made me cry in full happiness which Loki noticed and looked at me worriedly.

“My love did I offend you with my actions?” he asked in sadness.

“Oh..no Loki it is not like that, this is happiness I feel that made me cry because I did not realize that this will be your reaction to our betrothal.” Then he smirked at me.

“You just can’t judge a person by looking at him you know.” He smiled and laughs at me.

“Ok lesson learned Loki” Then he hugged me.

“I guess you really are going to be with me till the eternity little sister” he teases and this made me feel awkward.

“I guess…but please stop calling me little sister Loki, because it feels like I am marrying my biological brother” I said and he just chuckle.

“Ok my Sigyn, I promise that you shall never hear that words” he said while raising his right hand. Wait? My Sigyn?.

“Your Sigyn?” I asked while looking at him.

“Of course love, what else should you want to be addressed?...My wife, my beloved, my angel, me eternity?...you choose” he said and that made me blush, he is now asking for names.

“You know I think your the fake Loki, I think I may be talking to someone else?” I asked while holding my laughter and this made him angry and chased me to the garden.

“If I catch you woman, you’re dead” he shout and I burst into laughter.

“Seriously Loki we are not yet married and you plan on killing me?” I said while laughing and still running. Then he stopped chasing me and then he smirked so I also stopped running.

“You will be dead…..” then he vanished. This made me worried where could he have gone. Then he appeared in front of me and catches me unguarded. Then he whispered.

“You will die with my love” he smiled and hugged me again. And started to kiss me again but was interrupted by a booming voice coming towards us.

“BROTHER!...THERE YOU ARE….” Thor said while coming to us.

“What’s the important matter for you to bother me and my betrothed?” Loki hissed, he seemed annoyed but Thor just laughs.

“Just wanted to congratulate you actually, now that I’ve done it you can continue” he left while waving his hand.

 “Well that was fast” I said and looked at Loki who is still annoyed because he was interrupted, so to make him feel calm I just give him a quick peck on the lips. He seemed to like it so I told him that I should go to my chambers because it’s getting late.

After I said goodbye to him and the people in the feast I went to my bed chambers, and changed me clothes then went to bed and drifted to sleep.
