The Holiday

Chapter Three

A whole room filled with Five hotel critics made Choi hold his breath.
Everything was perfect and full of luxury as the reviewer stood In the lobby judging every movement he made.

" Please enjoy your stay at The Bed and Breakfast. " he bowed respectfully remembering to send every reviewer a bottle of B&B wine and a fresh charcuterie plates.

Suddenly, Claire entered the lobby her hands full of bags. He followed her through the crowd as people tried to shake his hand until She was nowhere to be found.

He returned looking after the new guest as the autumn Cloudy sky turned to twilight. The hotel was filled with silence When Choi was finally done checking in each guest.

A yellow bulb guided the way to the kitchen as choi released all The tension built up in his body. He saw some dirty dishes laying on the counter. He wanted to clean them up but didn't have enough energy to even start. Choi's shoulder burned so he took off his gray suit jacket unbuttoning his waistcoat. He hoped it would take some pressure off his aching shoulder.

Suddenly a cold shiver went down his back as Claire leapt up from Looking in a cabinet. Choi remained silent while he awkwardly entered the kitchen. Claire's deep brown eyes stared at him as he Started to cut some onion.

"Are you okay?" She asked her eyes full of concern. Choi robotically nodded suppressing his snort. He's tried so hard to be perfect but  somehow Claire saw right through him.

"I'm fine." He hissed putting the onion in a hot sauce pan.He wondered if he should call it a night and just go to bed but he already started to cook.

"Oh-" Claire mumbled pointing to his hand it had blood upon it. He had no idea how it happened but the look on Claire's face made
Choi feel flustered. 

"Here to stop the-" but Choi pushed his hand out of her reach. Her Deep brown eyes widen as she took a step back. The cut burned while he finished cooking the stir fry. Choi instinctive grabbed one Bowl and hurried to leave not wanting to spend any more time with Claire. Tomorrow he will plan to keep his distance until her check out date.
