I'm walking to school in a grey skirt with a yellow button up shirt and black ray-bans. My one strap bag is slung over my shoulder and I'm across the road from the school walking in the middle of the road. A car pulls up on the other side and I walk past it.
"Schools boring why do we have to go" I think.
Talking is going on behind me and I zone out. I snap out of it when arms wrap around my waist and the person lifts me up. They walk to the footpath and set me back on my feet. I turn around and my light brown hair brother John is standing there. I wrap my arms around him and hug him tightly. John moves his arm to around my shoulder blades and I rest my head on his chest. I feel John kiss the top of my head.
"Don't cry sis" John whispers.
"I won't" I mumble.
I pull away and John moves one arm from around my shoulder blades but keeps the other arm there. We cross the road and walk into the school. We walk into A block and everyone looks at us. We ignore them and walk to our light brown hair friend Garrett, our brown hair friend Kennedy, our blonde hair friend Jared and our brown hair friend Pat who are in their school uniforms. They smirk and look at John.
"You have to get some school clothes" Jared says.
"I know" John says smiling.
"I'm going to find the girls" I say.
I wave to the boys and walk away from them. I walk out of A block and walk to my pink hair friend Sakura, my brown/purple hair friend Tiffany and my red hair friend Brittany standing near D block seats in there school uniforms.
"Last day of high school forever" Sakura says happily.
Tiffany, Brittany and I laugh at her. The bell rings and we walk to the middle of D block seats. We sit down.
"Well, well, well" I hear a familiar male voice say.
I look behind us and Garrett, John, Jared, Kennedy and Pat sit down.
"Hi" I say smiling.
Someone in front of us clears there throat and I look back in front of myself. A teacher is standing in front of us.
"We all know that it's the last day of high school for you and us teachers wish you luck. This is a special surprise and Perrie is not allowed to see it because of her behaviour" the teacher says.
"I wouldn't have one if you actually taught me something instead of ignoring me" I say.
I get up out of my seat and walk to A block. I walk into the block and walk through it. I walk out of the other side and walk to the uncovered see through fence. I climb up onto the bricks that are near the fence an sit down. I watch everything go on at D block seats.
"If you didn't want me to see anything should of covered the fence" I mumble to myself.
I zone out and snap back into it when I feel someone stand in front of me. Garrett is standing there.
"Shouldn't you be in there?" I ask confused.
"I should but I'm not leaving my girlfriend alone" Garrett replies.
Garrett turns around and stands in between my legs. He leans back on the bricks and I wrap my arms around his neck. I rest my chin on his shoulder and we both watch this so called big surprise that is planned. The surprise is a long speech from every teacher and all the teens just get up and walk into A block.
"Let's go" Garrett says.
Garrett moves and I get of the bricks. We walk around the entrance of A block and walk into the block. John, Jared, Kennedy, Pat, Tiffany, Brittany and Sakura walk up to us. We walk out of A block and we walk up to the front gates. We walk out of the school and walk our separate ways home. John and I walk home. We walk inside and walk to our rooms. I walk to my wardrobe and pull my dress bag out. I strip to my underwear and step into my black and white knee length dress. I leave my socks on and ray-bans on. I walk out of my room and walk into the lounge room. John is standing there in a black tuxedo, a white shirt and a pair of black dress shoes.
"Let's get going" John says.
John and I walk out of the house. We walk down the street and we walk into the nearby park.
"Wonder how it looks" I say.
"We're about to find out" John says.
John and I walk through the park. The park is surrounded by bright lights and we walk into our blonde hair Uncle Ben. He is with his orange hair mate and they both say something we can't hear.
"Real nice" I say.
We continue to walk and we walk up the stairs. There are white chairs everywhere an everyone sitting down at the top. They are watching a video of us from year 7 to year 12. John and I walk into the hall we hired for the night. We walk inside and we look around the hall for our friends. Our friends are sitting at a table and we walk over to them. We sit down on different sides of the table and I look in front of myself. Garrett is sitting there and he has his stretch pad in front of him. I look closely at the pad and my name is in it in so many different styles.
"Can I have a look?" I ask Garrett.
"Sure" Garrett replies.
Garrett pushes the pad to me and I have a look through it. I push the pad back to him and he turns to a new blank page. He starts drawing and Live While We're Young by One Direction comes on. Sakura, Tiffany, Brittany and I get up. We walk to the dance floor and start dancing. We have fun and the song changes to Change Your Life by Little Mix. We stop dancing and rest.
"Perrie" I hear Garrett call me.
I look at Garrett and he waves me over. I walk up to him leaving the girls on the dance floor and he looks up at me.
"Do you want a skirt or a pair of shorts?" Garrett asks.
"Shorts" I reply.
Garrett goes back to his drawing and I just stand there. Garrett looks back up at me and shows me the drawing. It's a picture of a girl that looks exactly like me in a singlet and a pair of shorts standing a meadow covered in flowers.
"It's beautiful" I say truthfully.
Garrett smiles happily and people bring paint out. We have a paint fight and a brown hair teacher walks into the hall. We stop throwing paint around and I walk into the toilets. I wash the paint of myself and leave my paint covered dress on. I walk out of the toilets and sit down with everyone else. The teacher gives us a lecture and that's how the formal ends.
