"Jessica Wally, are you done packing? Hailey's waiting!" Yelled Jess' mother.

"Yes, I'll be down in a minute!" Said Jess.

"Take care of her please" said Jess' mother Adrian.

"We'll be just fine, Adrian." I answered. Adrian was pretty young when she had Jess hence she was more of a friend to me than my best friend's mother.

Jess walked down the stairs holding two huge suitcases.
"This one has all my clothes and this one's for all the shopping we're going to do in New York!" She said pointing at the two suitcases.

"Let's make a move Jess! The plane's not going to wait for you! Bye Adrian and please don't worry." I said and gave her a kiss on her cheek.

Adrian was like a mother/friend to me. My mother, well it's a long story.

We finally left Jess' house and jumped into my car. We drove to the airport while Jess spoke about how excited she was to be living in New York City. The main reason I wanted to shift there was to accomplish my mission.

We got off the car, piled all our luggage onto a trolley and after a short while, boarded the plane.

Jess and I had been best friends for 7 years but she didn't have the slightest clue as to what I was soon going to do.

I ordered a cup of coffee and stared outside the window while Jess had found a cute air-host so she was busy flirting with him.
She didn't have to flirt much. All the boys she spoke to in high school had fallen for her.

She had blue eyes, long blonde hair, the figure of a Victoria's secret model and craters as dimples that no guy could resist.
And then there was me. I always just tagged along wherever Jessica went. Like a sidekick, while she was the "hero".

In high school I had Hazel eyes, dark circles under my eyes at all times, braces, short dark brown hair and a rainbow hairband which didn't really draw any attention from any boys but Jess accepted me the way I was and we've been friends ever since.

Jess' words snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked at her and her hair was all messy and her dress was half unbuttoned. "He was good, but he's married." She said and sat next to me.

She brought out her makeup kit and fixed her hair. "I'm sorry" I said. "It's alright, he wasn't my type anyways." She said and applied her lipstick to replace the lipstick that was now probably on the cute air host's face.
