Event

I stepped out of the light and found myself in a forest. I looked around, seeing nothing out of the ordinary. I took a few steps forward, then heard movement behind me.

I turned quickly, somehow a knife was in my hand. When... did that happen...? I recognized the person standing behind me. "Neo? What..."

"What's going on, and where are we, right? Well, I'm not too sure what's going on either, and as far as I can tell, we're in a forest, miles from any form of civilization."

I would nod, understanding the situation. "Where did this blade come from?" I would hold up the knife in my hand.

"I don't know either. This tends to happen from time to time. Every time is different, and not every one of us comes back."

"Wait... you don't think it's possible that... some of us kill the others... right?"

"N-no... no, that can't be possible Asuka. That's crazy..."

"I know, but thats why I'm concerned... That other girl... Aika I think? She didn't seem to... sane."

"You're not suggesting that..."

"We can't rule it out. Not yet, at least. Does anyone even know what happens during these..."

"Events?"

"Yeah, events.

"No, actually. No one knows."

"Then how can we know that one of us isnt out there killing someone right now?"

"You have a good point, kid." I would hear another voice behind me. "But since you figured it out..." I would hear a blade coming out of its sheath.

No... no, this can't be happening...

"I'm going to have to kill you."

I would feel a sudden burst of energy run through my body, and everything would look slow to me.

So you figured it out, huh Asuka? Well... welcome to the game then. You're going to play a big part in this, so don't die on me just yet...

A few seconds after I heard the voice, I would feel something warm and wet on my hand. I would bring my hand up in front of my face, still holding the blade. I would hear a soft thump behind me and realize what I had done.

"Neo... I didn't mean..."

"It's fine, it was self-defense. But from this point on, let me protect you, ok?"

I would nod, and he would take out his blade. He would start walking, and I would follow, not daring to look behind me.

A/n: Ok, that was chapter 6, you guys! Yes I know, it took me a while to add some action, but I promise that the first 5 chapters will have worth later in the story. Now, addressing the elephant in the room. I know these chapters have been really short, but I'm working on making them longer, so don't worry!
