you sleep so happily

after the picnic, he came over for a sleepover. it was really late into the night, 1 pm if i remember correctly. throughout this whole day, he had the biggest smile on his face. even his eyes smiled.

"tae tae, can we cuddle and watch a movie?"

"only if i pick it."

we watched my all time favorite film, "Spirited Away". while we were watching, he was laying on my lap and i was playing with his soft pink hair.

midway in to the film, i noticed that he had fallen asleep. i will never forget how gorgeous he looked that night, how he smiled even while asleep.

to be able to relive the memory, i took a picture. i stared at him for a while, then i whispered to myself:

"you sleep so happily jiminie, i hope your beautiful smile never fades away."

sadly, my wishes didn't come true.
