3:00 PM, Hosu Japan.

[Y/n] and his mom, Yuuva [L/n] walked through the streets of Hosu Japan. Yuuva's hand held her son's hand in a tight grasp as they walked.

Miss Yuuva was a young woman with bright blue hair that went down to her waist. She wore a white T-shirt tucked into her high-waisted shorts with a beige cardigan. On her neck, dangled a small golden necklace with a sun marking on it.

She had gotten this necklace from her mother before she died and had never taken it off since.

Yuuva walked into the mall, the automatic doors clicking open. To the left were clothing and book stores. To the right were beauty and flower stores. The ceiling glowed with luminescent lights.

After weaving between different stores, Yuuva stood in front of the impatient cashier.

The cashier was around seventeen. Her red hair was tied into a side bun. There was heavy makeup on her eyelids and tattoos everywhere on her skin. She crossed her arms over apron, tapping her foot obnoxiously.

Yuuva was about to hand the cashier her credit card, when she heard a explosion nearby. A series of other explosions followed, as she saw people running through the mall in a panic.

She reached for [Y/n]'s arm, only to feel nothing but air instead. She looked around, her eyes widening. Where did he go!?

Yuuva ran out of the store, pushing past people as she called out her son's name. She couldn't lose him! He was all she had left. A explosion in the store next to her pulled her out of her panicked thoughts, knocking her to the floor.

She coughed. The dust coated in her lungs. Her eyes stung with tears. Yuuva looked up to see [Y/n] standing in front of a large monster, handing it a small flower.

The monster was heavily disfigured and had no face. It's skin was tight and ash grey.

The monster reached up to the sky with a large clawed hand before slashing at her son.

Everything seemed to slow. Yuuva could only hear the ringing of her ears and the sound of her heartbeat. She was suddenly pushing her son out of the way, taking the hit from the monster.

Yuuva landed on the mall floor with a thump. Three large gashes covered her back. The blood seeped into the floor, her eyes frozen in time with fear.

[Y/n] looked at his dead mother with wide eyes. Her blue hair and beige cardigan was now bloodied. The back of her shirt was ripped by three claws. She layed there motionless. He reached a shaky hand towards her.

"Mama?" He whimpered.

A pair of large black shoes stepped over his mother's body.

"Aren't you a perfect hostage?" A unfamiliar voice asked.

Within seconds, the man had scooped [Y/n] up with one arm and secured him to his side.

"Mama!" [Y/n] screamed, wriggling against the man's strong grip. He couldn't breathe. Just a few seconds ago, they were out shopping. His mother was alive and happy. And now, [Y/n] would never see his mother's kind smile ever again.

Inhaling sharply, he let out a scream. The man suddenly dropped to the floor on his knees. Debris of the mall floor flew onto the walls.

"What the...hell?" The man groaned. Before the man knew it, he was crashing threw the marble walls and sent flying towards the sky. The nearby buildings cracked, the windows shattering from the force of the throw.

[Y/n] heard a soft groan. He turned around to see his mother staring up at him. She silently tore her necklace off of her neck and placed it into [Y/n]'s small hands.

"Be...careful out there." She whispered. "The world's a cruel place." Yuuva smiled weakly, caressing a bloody hand to [Y/n]'s face. Her loving smile faded and her hand dropped to the marble floor.

And that's when [Y/n] ran.

He ran far away from his mother.

Ran far away from the mall.

Ran far away, not even stopping at home.

He ran to a alleyway in a completely different town. He hid by the smelly garbage bags.

Next to him layed a ragged teddy bear with one arm missing along with one missing button eye.

[Y/n] grabbed the ragged bear and crawled into a small ball.

He was all alone.
