Chapter 1

Once upon a time in Salvar, the magic realm, there lived a girl by the name of Aroaua Angelica Nokia. She loved the forest the most out of everything. On her 16th birthday she started having weird dreams and things happen to her. One morning after waking up from a bad nightmare on her 17th birthday, Aroaua, or Aro as she liked to be called, had a strange feeling that she should........

Aroaua  POV

   As I was running away from the dark presence, I tripped and fell over something. It had been my friend Arabella lying on the ground with blood oozing from a slash on her neck. I stood up to scared to comprehend what I just saw.

  I made to my house and ran up the steps and through the threshold only to stop because....

  I woke up screaming. I know no one would come to see if I was alright I was alone. I didn't have a boyfriend, a girlfriend, a father, a mother, or siblings. My dad died when I was just 2 years old, my mum died when I was 12 years old, and my siblings want nothing to do with me.

  Oh, I'm so rude my name is Aroaua Angelica Nokia, or Aro. I was born on the 8th of August in the year 3006. It is August the 8th in the year 3023. I have fiery red hair and unruly waves. My eyes are an icy blue, the blue is almost white. I'm about 5'8 and I have the most muscles out of all the girls in the village.

  After the year 2030 the whole ecosystem got better and dragons appeared along with this realm, Salvar. The human and the magic  realm joined together. What came from them joining is that we now have dragon riders. Dragon riders are only boys, as far as we know, and they are tested every 2 years. There are a total 10 boys chosen to be a dragon rider from every village.  All boys have to be tested but this year is going to be different. It is going to be different because I'm going to test myself with the staff.
