Age is Just a Number- Chapter 6
My head ached the next morning. I was in a weird, stiff postion when I was laying down and all my muscles ached. I lifted my arm and tried to massage my back but the angle hurt too much. Oh well, best just to suffer.
With that, I got up and tredded my feet over to my bathroom. After a thirty minute warm shower and freshening up, I made my way downstairs.
Hitting the twelfth step on the staircase I was instantly hit with the scent of bacon, pancakes, and sausage. Yum, I thought and my stomach began to growl. I started to walk into the kitchen and was mildy surprised when I saw Sean in a "Kiss the Cook" apron and had pancake batter splattered all over his face.
"Well, morning Miss. Sunshine!" His loud, bold voice broke through the quiet in the house.
"Good Morning, Mr. Cook." I breathlessely murmered. I was still tired and my muscles ached like heck.
"I figured you must be starved so I just waltzed in here to cook you and I a breakfast meal. Hope that's okay?"
"What? Oh yeah, that's really nice of you. Ouchh!" I yelped at the way my muscle hurt as I tried to sit in one of the kitchen barstools.
"Carli! Are you okay?"
"Sorry, yes. I didn't mean to scream, it's just I slept wrong and all my muscles ache." I told him.
"Oh, well I can fix that. Come 'ere." He beckoned me over to him, and patted a barstool in his reach.
I walked towards him and sat myself next to him, not really expecting what he was about to do next.
Sean put his bare hand on my shouder, sparking a wave of electricity and warmth where he touched. He then began to rub smoothy my shoulder blade muscle. It felt really good, and my muscles relaxed. When he noticed my relaxation hebegan to make his way down to my spine and rub a bit harder. This felt even better, and if I wasn't mistaken I think I accidentily let out a soft moan in pleasure. Crap!
This surprised Sean, and his hand abrubtly stopped. Double crap! He put his hand back but didn't continue to rub. He then put his hand on my waist and slowly and smoothly turned me around to face him. My face was now directly alligned with Sean's because he was bending down.
Oh my! Was he going to kiss me? My question was soon answered when Sean's head began to lean in and his plump lips brushed my own. He then retreated back to them, and kissed me slow. It started really slow, and sweet our lips moving in unison. There was literally fire burning throughout my entire body, and I felt tingles everywhere. Especially the place where one hand was wrapped around my waist and his other holding my neck.
I did that thing in movies where the girl grabs the guy's hair and tug on it, but the I felt it was too cliche and I released his hair, only for Sean to grab my hand and place it back onto his hair. He was now moving his hand in circles around my waist. I then focused back on the kiss. Sean was licking my bottom lip requesting access. However, I couldn't grant it. Not quite yet.
I pulled back from the kiss.
Sean was my first kiss. Hard to believe, but he was. My first kiss, and it felt like it should in the movies, passionate, and sweet. The only thing missing was the romantic music playing in the background.
Sean was looking into my eyes, kind of hurt that I broke away.
Once I caught my breath, I began to talk. I didn't want to ask but a thread of guilt was forming a knot within the pit of my stomach.
"Sean, what about your girlfriend?"
He looked at me blanky, then turned a shade of crimson.
"Uhh...Uh," Sean began to studder, "Carli, umm,....we're still together."
He then cupped my face, his fingers stringing around my cheek bone, and thumb brushing over my top lip. Sean noticed it begin to tremble and looked up at my eyes where he could see the tears forming at the edges.
Why couldn't he be single? Why did he have to be so much older, and have a life of his own outside the everyday life of a high school teenager? Why couldn't he be ugly, so that I wouldn't feel intense, lustful feelings for? Why, why, why?
I shifted my face away from his hand, and glance so that he wouldn't witness my tears, but his grip on my face was strong. He wouldn't let me budge.
"Carli, please don't be upset. I know I have a girlfriend, and you think this is the end of the world, but it is not. What I expierenced with you yesterday where we talked about our lives, our likes, and our passions, I've never had with anyone else before. I will not give that up, and you make me feel these feelings that a man my age should never feel for someone so young. You are what I need and want right now, and your right in front of me, please don't cry."
His words were so cheesy but they hit my heart strings, and my heart ached. He had won. I couldn't care about his girlfriend now. He was too perfect.
I lifted my head back up to him again, and he interpreted this as permission to kiss me again. Sean brought his plump lips to mine, and we met. Our mouths moved simotaniously and butterflies filled my stomach, replacing the thread of guilt. I moved my hand to Sean's hair, and prayed that maybe just maybe Sean couldn't hear how fast my heart was pounding!
