The walls separated us by star signs. Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. When you're born they give you a tattoo of your sign. I'm a Sagittarius, along with my sister, my mother and my father. My brother ended up being a Capricorn. He was sent away after he was born, my mother wept most nights, unable to see her only son. In these walls you are only allowed to marry the same sign as you. I have no intention of doing that, I didn't wanna turn 18 and marry a week after. I want adventure, not being stuck in a house waiting for my final moment. Being depressed because my baby got taken away. If the baby was a different sign, you have no say in who raises it, they could be abusive and let your child die and the government wouldn't tell you. You'd wonder if they were alive or dead everyday. I want children I do, but not right now, not with the government we have now. Maybe when we were free.
Noises filled my ears, my eyesight going bad, it was too dark, but sneaking out of here is the only option. It feels like I've been walking forever, it's probably been twenty minutes but it feels like forever, my flashlight had died a while ago. They never worked anyway. Lights, colorful lights, just a few feet away from me. I ran. Right into a net. Great. Two broad shoulders one was 6'4, while the other is about 5'7 stepped out from the darkness, guns ready. I was entangled and couldn't move, I waited, sweat trickling down my face, the saltiness burning my eyes. I wouldn't let them see that I was scared to die, but a single tear slipped down my face. "Welcome kid, get inside quick." a deep voice erupted in the darkness, cutting me down and landing on my stomach with a thud, I quickly got up, looking at them. "Who are you?" the other one spoke, a woman's voice, soft but hard. "I'm Atlas, who are you, and what is this place?" I paused"I'm Smith, and this is Marx, you Atlas have just ran into Gemini county." Marx"Gemini County, yes, I uh, was shipped here from Sagittarius County."
"Then what are you doing here?" Marx barked
"They were training me, then shipped me here"
"Highly doubtful, at birth if you were a Gemini they would have shipped you here in the first place" Smith shook his head in agreement.
"You think I don't know this? But everyone knows that Sagittarius County has the best training." "Yeah that's true." Smith spoke up
"Quiet Smith" Marx slightly hit him "If Sagittarius County has the best training" she paused "Then beat me" Shocked displayed on Smith's face, I couldn't back down from this. I needed to prove that I was "truly" a Gemini.
"Alright, fine, but I should warn you, I'm better than I look." it was true. I knew too much, training on my free time was something I did in a scenario like this.
"Fine, I will give you until sunrise to hide, then I'll come find you, if I find you, you know what happens" she cocked her gun slightly "but if you win, we'll keep your secret, we know you're actually a Sagittarius, it's obvious, your tattoo is showing." I grimace, I'm stupid for rolling up my sleeves, my tattoo was on my wrist, a little archer arrow. While Marx and Smith's looked like a roman numeral. I'm stupid for not wearing my sleeves down.
"Come on Marx, let her be, she doesn't mean any harm." Smith's voice was low.
"I have no choice, you know the rules, if they beat me they can stay, if they can't, they die." she sighs heavily "I'll give you until sunrise to hide somewhere."

The Walls That Inhibit Us
Fantasy"I don't want to do this anymore Marx. I'm tired of being encased in these city walls." I sob "One day they'll free us, one day." Marx sighed "Sagittarius sign or not, you're still a person, they can't keep us separated forever."
