(A Tribute to The 1975)
(Put on Medicine to get full effect of the poem)I drove into the City,
In the year 1975
Thinking of old times
Where all she worried about was Money
Running around with Chocolate
To places nobody ever goes
She took me for love and Sex
But she had a boyfriend anyway
As the rumors spread
The Talking became louder
I had An Encounter with a strange man
He told me to figure my Heart Out
I asked if he knew his
And he said you will one dayI asked her soon if she knew her heart
She told me to Settle Down and live life
I'll find her soon anyways
But before I knew it
She was gone
The Robbers stole her away from me
But that's just another typical Girl,
Breaking hearts
12 days past and no progress
She was my Way Out
But my Men Swear there's a better way
As the Pressure rose to get over her
I just hope there was Somebody Who Could Watch You
I was Facedown and alone
Crying over someone who didn't love me
I felt as if I had met the Anitchrist
And I was slowly dying from the inside outBut then I met a Women
Who told me to take chances
So I took one with her
Before she asked me to Undo it
"But you can't undo the past,"
I told her
But she replied very easily,
"It takes a bit more than You."
And when trust is as white as Milk**
You sometimes ask,
"Is she doing it all the time?"
But that answer is no
Because she's long gone
And to her it was an AnobrainI got my in my car and left the darkness
Turned on Hnscc hoping joy would spread
Just like cancer
And as I slipped into the zone
My Head spun and the Car Bended
And everything went black
I had been thinking about killing myself
Was this it?
It's only Me
She wouldn't care
I always told her that i wasn't scared
And that she would Haunt my Bed if she ever left
And now she's gone
And all I see is the ghosts of youBut then I met another and realized
So Far, It's Alright.
And now that I have you,
I think I'm Falling For You.
Becuase I've been craving another
Through chocolate and sex
And I traveled to the city for love,
But in the end I only found one thing
Medicine. To the 1975 if you ever read this, I thank you for your inspiration, music, and great performances. The new album will surely be amazing.
