Why her? [Discontinued]

Chapter one

I stood there silently the wind blowing in my hair, I would have looked peaceful to a passerby but in reality I was screaming my guts out at the girl who'd ripped my hoodie earlier that day. After around twenty minutes of this I collapsed onto the dock sobbing, that's when she walked onto the dock and introduced herself, "Hey... I'm Lucy, you wanna talk?", this was weird for me because my whole life it'd been "Suck it up" "walk it off" "Stop crying or i'll give you a reason to" "Stop looking for attention".

"Sure" I said wiping the tears with my soft sleeve

"What happened to you?"

"It's a long story, you?" this was when I realized the sadness in her eyes

"My girlfriend broke up with me..."

"Poor thing!" I exclaimed

"I just kinda feel...helpless"

"And I just need someone to talk to, and you seemed upset too"

"Yeah"

"Do you like animals" she said clearly trying to change the subject

We did this for hours, just asking each other questions, laughing, crying, after about six hours I told her I needed to leave due to work, how I wish I could've stayed....

I was woken by the sound of meowing at my door, it was time to feed the cats, I got out of my bed still drowsy from sleep that's when "It" happened I stubbed my toe, "Bloody hell" I muttered under my breath... it wasn't the worst thing possible but it hurt, so after that I continued with my day as normal, School, work, study, sleep. It's boring but it's my normal, though today was oddly slower than usual, maybe it was because all I could think about was the girl, but I'll never really know... after doing my usual routine i went back to the dock to see if she'd gone back, after waiting for hours she never came. I mean we had never said that we'd meet up again but, I could only hope. After awhile I kinda forgot about her and just went on with my boring life but as these stories go she found my number, I mean we lived in a small city so you could just ask around and get any information about almost anyone you wanted to. So at first I just ignored it because I didn't recognize the number until she called me, So I picked it up hoping for a wrong number so I could mess with someone...

"Hello?"

"Hi..."

"Who is it?"

"Sasha"

"What do you need" I said trying to see how I could play off this wrong number prank

"Is Klara there?"

I froze who told them my name? Why were they calling me? Who were they?

"Y-yeah, Why?"

"Yay! I finally got the right number!"

Now I was freaked out, "What do you mean?"
"Oh, I forgot. I gave you a fake name, It's me lucy"
"What? You spent this much time trying to get my number, you could've just gone back to the dock!"
"I did on my break but you weren't there"

"Oh, I usually go after dark. Want to meet there for lunch tomorrow?"

"Sure that'd be great! Cya tomorrow!"
After hanging up, I sat on my favorite brown recliner it was worn but it was the only thing I had left to remember my brother. Sitting there my thoughts wirled, Why'd she spent that much time looking for someone she'd met once? Who told her my number? Did she find anything else on me? That's when the doorbell rang, who was at my door? Did she have my address?! I grabbed my knife and slowly approached the door, I opened my door just enough to see who was there, It was my brother and his kids. I forgot that I was watching them, I think my brother saw my expression and asked why I was on edge. It was good that I knew how to hide a knife well or he's ask who put on edge. "Nothing, just work stuff. Come on in!"

"I'm sorry I can't I just got a call, but I'll drop by later. Y'all be good, okay?"

"Yes father"

"Okay!"

As he walked out closing the door behind him, the two turned around with a mischievous look in their eyes,

"Tell us a story!"

"No,"

"Why not!?"

"Remember last time?"

"It won't happen again!!!!"
"Sure, Now jax it's your turn to clean up the dog dirt"

"Okay..." he muttered

"That means-"

"Yes sera, you get to feed the puppies"

"Yay!" said sera running off with her hands in the air as if she was on a roller coaster
