I am average.

Extremely average, in fact, that I am known for being average in everything I do.

My schedule is also average: wake up, eat, go to school, sit at the back of the class, go home, repeat.

Though my daily life was average, there was someone who was an oddity, even more so compared to others.

Her name was Shiraga Onna. (Japanese order; surname goes first before the first name)

With her beautiful white hair, and outstanding grades, she instantly became popular at our school, and even gained the personal bias of every teacher she met with. An astounding feat, to say so myself.

She's the current student council president of our school, so she has to act dignified every time someone comes to talk to her or ask questions.

I'm nothing  like what she is.

We are completely far apart from each other. With how busy she is, she would never be able to find any time to talk to me. The chances of us talking to each other are extremely low.

Well, at least that's how it was supposed to go.

The amount of times we've actually met can just simply be counted by the digits of my fingers.

Yet whenever we did meet, she would become weird. Extremely weird. She would basically become the opposite of how she acts during school.

Because of certain reasons, whenever we were alone, I would call her Virgo.

Why, you ask?

Because I just like it.

Anyway, we're done talking about that. It's time to stop having a monologue, there's only 10 minutes left before class starts.

Well, put that aside for now.

A guy seems to be approaching me. He's wearing the standard school uniform, having brown hair, and he wears glasses.

He also has an average-looking face.

Just like me.

"Hey, Kazu-san. We're going to karaoke later after school, wanna come join us?"

Ah, I forgot to mention. My classmates call me Kazu, because they claim it is "an average name, and it matches with my being."

Ah well, I don't mind.

"Sorry, I have plans later. Next week, I'm free though," I'd reply, staring at him while I spin my pen in my fingers while doing so.

That was a lie.

I didn't have any plans, I just didn't want to come.

An average guy like me shouldn't be hanging out with overly-extroverted people.

"Ah, I see. Okay, we understand. Thank you anyways, Kazu-san."

Yes, yes, thank you as well for approaching me.

After class ended, I immediately went home and headed into my room.

Quickly stripping into my boxers, I leaped onto my bed, face-first into the mattress.

The day was longer than usual, so consequently, I was just as tired.

After lying down, I immediately passed out, and was teleported into dream land.

Ah, truly a bliss.

Aree, this is new?Is this a new setting for my dreamland?

Looking around, I quickly realized this was different than the usual blank slate of my dream world.
