CHAPTER 4

"Cole, can you take me home please?" Gabriella was done with being everybody's burden. She didn't want to be this woman any longer. She was so alone and it was killing her. She really did need to sort her own shit now.

Marc was not going to be in her life forever. Eventually she would get married and her husband would not allow Marc to have any input in her life. She needed to distance herself from Marc and Arianna and maybe do right by them by keeping the hell away. More so for Arianna than for Marc.

Arianna was a gem, she never brought up the fact that Gabriella literally fucked Marc. Never brought up how fucked up Gabriella made her life, how much shit she caused for her. She carried on like nothing happened.

It was so bad to recall how horrible of a person Gabriella was to Arianna. Like who did that? She hated herself for it, hated at how cruel she had been. All because Arianna was stunning, all because Arianna had something that Gabriella would never have... The total love of somebody.

The way Marc loved her was something else. It didn't matter what transpired between the two, Marc adored her, he was so sickly in love with her that it was bordering on fatal... But he loved her... Loved her so much... Something that Gabriella would never have. Not that way.

"You know what Gab... Fine. You want to go home, okay." Cole seemed totally over her. She never asked him to be here. She was not going to stay at his house. He would totally ignore her, treat her politely if they were to be in the same room. That killed her the most.

Gabriella would prefer it if Cole yelled at her, told her what a bitch she was, got it off his chest. Not just turn into this man with no emotions whatsoever. She didn't want to remain this way, he was too cold, too closed off. She didn't blame him, but he fucked her over just as much...

Whatever, Gabriella was not going to keep thinking about this. Cole made it perfectly clear that he wanted nothing to do with her and she was going to regain some of her dignity and try her utmost best to move on.

He parked her car at the front of her apartment and waited for her to leave the car. Fine... "Thank you." She said as she made her way out. She didn't look back. Fuck him.

Up the lifts to her units... Her door was open... Oh god... No... Somebody was in her place. Gabriella almost yelled out when Cole was behind her. "You scared the hell out of me." She whispered angrily.

"Your bags... You forgot your bags..." Oh... He had brought down her bags. He must have realised that something was amiss because he put his finger on his lips to keep her quiet. He had his gun out and made his way into her apartment cautiously.

The minute that Gabriella heard loud banging noises she freaked out and hurried inside to make sure that Cole was okay. Fuck!

Cole was fine... It was Leo who was now unconscious on her floor. "What the fuck?" She asked hurrying to Leo. He was knocked out.

Cole grabbed her arm and shoved her away from him roughly. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" He snapped at her angrily.

"What? Why'd you knock him out?"

"Intruder mean anything to you?" He asked shaking his head. "I told you to stay put."

"It's Leo... You knocked Leo out." Cole packed his gun away and rubbed a hand over his mouth.

"Your fiancé is your intruder?"

"No he's not..." What? Gabriella looked around her house and it was literally trashed. Like nothing was left unturned. What the hell?
