Being a remainder of a family that was never normal for a day hasn't been so blissful for me.

I'm here trying to get myself together with the shattered pieces of hope Brandon had left me to fix. It's partly his fault anyway.

•i stood in front of a restaurant that had reached out to me severally. They wanted to employ me because of my multi-talented self and most especially my magnificent cooking skills. But this was two years ago, after Brandon found me and practically forced me or should I say threatened me to work for him so I would be under his watch for a long time. Now that it's been cut short, I'm back to my basic opportunity.

They declined my request. I understand they felt quite offended by the nerve I had to just waltz in there and ask if that opportunity was still available for me like I was born to be set there. I mean, I apologized severally both now and then. They just left me off the hook saying "We've lost interest in you, not because you didn't accept our offer when you had the chance but because we did a background search on you like we do all our staff before employment and we were displeased with what we discovered. Our sincerest apologies. We won't be looking forward to employing anytime soon. Goodbye. "

Just that sentence had my knees weak and me crying like a maniac on the sidewalk. What could they have possibly seen?? I am just an ordinary girl with a clean record. I was-..! "Oh..." That was all I could muster once realization had slapped my forgotten past right back into my memory.

It must have been her death. My murder.

•i walked back home with a sore face from my pool of tears. Nobody even bothered to know what happened to me. Probably because I'm nothing but a stranger in their eyes who could do anything mischievous in a blink of an eye. But, is that what my appearance shows???

A soft beep from my phone pulled me out of my trance. Ugh, it's him. What does he want this time?
"Hello", "Look, whatever it is that you want to say just keep it to yourself. You probably found out about what happened in the restaurant and you're calling me to mock me and shit...well bad news to you cuz I don't care! I know I'll make it out of this! " Silence .... Silence was his promising answer. *Beep* he hung up.
