The group of teens pushed open the door with great force as they came into a scene of officers comforting shaken employees, terrified customers finally leaving the place, and Terry Larson speaking with Commissioner Lovecraft about the incident.
"She was crazy, commissioner. First, she threatened everyone here if they tried to stop her. Then, she broke into the safe and took the cash she could before Nevin decided to be the hero after calling the cops"
"Nevin?!" Sam shouted causing the police present, along with Dustin's Dinisty's owner, to turn to the frightened teen behind them.
"Sam, he's going to be fine. Trust us" Lieutenant Carter says with a reassuring tone.
"What the hell was he thinking?" Sighed Commissioner Lovecraft.
"That's my thought, sir. That kid could've died" Terry then put his fingers on his forehead as means to calm himself down.
"Well, where is he?!" Sam asked only to be quickly answered by Lovecraft.
"At the hospital. Though, it's not a good idea for you to visit right now"
"Why?!"
"He's in a coma. Plus, his family is just being informed of this incident and you're not his family"
"Seriously?! Come on, commis-"
"That's the final word, kid. It's best to just let him recover without you freaking out"
"Of course, I'm freaking out! He's one of my best friends and this Hunter chick nearly killed him! I need to be there!"
"Exactly my point! You need to be in control of yourself unlike your friend, young lady! Just be lucky the boy is alive!"
"What, you seriously think I don't care?!"
"Sam, that's enough!" Lieutenant Carter was trying to get through to her with his stern tone which works but barely. Sam, having forced herself to calm down, storms out of the building only to be followed by Ashley.
"Terry, what else happened here?" Jayden asked as a means to get more information about this incident.
"That's it, kid. She was terrifying; but not as much as that bastard Fearmeister, or even the Macabre for that matter"
"Do you have any security footage we could study?" Shadow Bird asks.
"That won't be necessary, kid" Commissioner Lovecraft says as his way of keeping them out of this mess.
"Well, we want to help, commissioner. With all do respect-" Jayden's words were quickly cut off by Lovecraft.
"I know you kids want to help but she's dangerous. She's just as skilled, if not more so, then Fearmeister. Why do you think the Macabre had a hard time catching her?"
"Maybe we could catch her, sir. You guys clearly need help" Jayden advises followed up by Shadow Bird.
"Yeah, we could help you guys out if you let us"
"No! You kids are staying out of this mess and that's final! I appreciate you kids aiding in stopping Fearmeister and the Macabre but this is different!"
"Sir, how is this different?! We need to help you!" Aubrey shouts.
"They're right!" Terry says angrily. This makes Commissioner Lovecraft turn around to face the business owner head on.
"What did you say, Terry?"
"You heard me, Vincent! This group of kids has helped out this city a great deal and we owe them a great deal! They've been there for people who were struggling like they were, stood up to a bastard who threatened my family and many others, and even prevented our supposed "protectors" from becoming this city's reckoning! Now that this woman is out robbing and hurting people, including one of my best employees, you're telling these kids to stay out of this! Are you mad?!"
"Yeah, what's wrong with you?!" The man in a three piece tan suit shouts along with many others.
"These kids helped my son become a better person and you think they should stay out of saving the city?!"
"Dear lord, Commissioner Lovecraft!" An angry female voice says followed by another.
"The Alta Heroes saved my daughter!"
"They also made my brother feel better about himself!"
"Jayden and Shadow Bird fixed my action figures"
"The Alta Heroes fought off a bunch of kids bullying me!"
"They're the real heroes of this city!"
"ENOUGH!!" The man screamed. Everyone was silent as can be at that point; but some were maintaining their looks of frustration towards the man in a silent, controlled manner. Disgusted and terrified, everyone left the scenery, the Alta Heroes following suit along with Lieutenant Carter and the other officers. Terry decided to give his workers the day off in order for them to rest from their near death experience. Meanwhile, the rest of the police officers left the restaurant ether to avoid pissing the commissioner off more or do a run down of other crimes and whatnot that may or may not relate to what just happened. Lieutenant Carter and the Alta Heroes left to check on Sam which he didn't blame them for. In fact, he doesn't blame the Alta Heroes for wanting to help this city. However, he wished they'd focus their attention on the small things like helping people when they're sad and occasionally stopping a petty crime. Why do these kids always get drawn into this crap? They've got enough to deal with, don't they?  Why can't they just be like normal teenagers? The man, however, decided not to dwell on this and immediately followed after his fellows officers. Hopefully, the Hunter's return will be one crisis the city can overcome soon. Why can't things just go back to normal?
Sam was pissed. How dare they?! How dare the cops say she wasn't part of Nevin's family?! Sure, she likes him, but she also sees him as the brother she never had, the same with Heather as a sister. Suddenly, a hand firmly grasps her shoulder.
"S-Sam. Stop." Ashley says while having some fatigue from chasing her down.
"Ashley, don't try to stop me!" Sam shouts, fiercely removing her friend's hand from her shoulder.
"Sam, calm down! Let's just-"
"No! Let me go see my friend!"
"You heard what they said! He's in a coma for Christ's sake!"
"I just want to see if he's ok! Is that too much to ask?!"
"Yeah, if you're like this!"
"Sam!" Lieutenant Carter shouts while having just caught up with the two girls, the man also out of breath.
"Wait one second, kid. Just wait" Lieutenant Carter says after catching his breath.
"Nevin isn't in the best condition for you to visit him right now. You know this"
"He's my friend, Dennis! I need to see him!"
"You will when he's ready!" A moment passes before everyone manages to regain control of themselves. Sam, completely defeated, storms back home. Ashley tries to comfort her but Dennis stops her right there with his hand in front of her. Although wanting to help her out, Ashley and Dennis knew it wouldn't fix the situation at hand.
