I had already finished my homework and all and it was now 4:03 and I was at the hospital, I worked as a volunteer at the local children's hospital because after 'the incident', well I've volunteered to read books to the children and show people around that wanted to visit there children.
I mean I knew like every child in the building, and usually they come because the have an illness like cancer, or have disabilities , some are paralyzed bellow the knee.
I was at the nurse desk telling them I was here.
"Finally! Your here! The children miss you so much dear!" Said Nurse Trisha with a warm smile on her face.
She was my favorite nurse in the building because of the fact that she is so kind and always has the patience for the children.
She had light brown skin and she was a little on the chunky side, black waves that go down her back, and a warm smile that's always bright and happy.
"Hey! I know I miss the kids too should I go check up on them?" I asked with a smile on my face as well.
"Sure go ahead dear!" She chirped and went back to typing something on her computer.
"'Kay thanks!" I said and quickly walked off.
I was going down the hall way when some one stopped me saying "hey do you work here?"
I turned around to see a blond lady with I'm guessing her husband.
"I volunteer here what's your question?" I asked.
"Well, we are here to see our daughter her name is Felicity" said the man in a deep voice.
" Felicity! Oh, your her parents! Nice to meet you. I'm Madison, I'll show you to her room" I said and quickly turned down another hallway till got to a door that said 'PA12' in bold letters. PA stands for patient with asma and twelfth is her number.
We walked inside and there was Felicity fast asleep in her bed. She had blond hair like her mom that was in two pig tails. She always gets asma attacks so she usually stays in the hospital.
Her parents quickly stepped inside and ran up to her bed.
"Mommy...daddy?" I heard her small whisper.
Then she turned to the door were I was and said "hi Maddy!" In a sleepy tone.
"Hello, my little bunny! How are you?" I said.
"Good, read me a story! A princess one" she chirped.
"I will but first I need to check on all the children alright?" I said giving her a goodbye wave.
"I'll leave you guys alone." I said to her parents and walked off to the door.
There were three doors next to 'PA12' and I went inside of 'PC13' which stands for patient with cancer.
I knocked and then slowly went inside.
"Hey, there Freddy the frog!" I said with a smile as I got inside of his little room. I went near his bed and kissed the top of his head and sat down in a chair.
I always give nicknames to the kids and everyone has a different name and I always remember.
"Hi Maddy the Manatee!" He said back which made me laugh. He had just gotten out of surgery a week ago so he had lost all the hair he used to have.
"Well, Freddy would you like some juice?" I asked him
"Sure." He said with a shrug.
So I passed him the juice that was half empty. He drank a little and put it back down.
