Last night was an interesting night. I looked around the tent and realized all of us here are newbies from around the world. I knew some people from my time on Big Brother Canada. I knew Morgan, Josh, Liz, and Julia. I got to make quick friends with Turbo, Gus, Ninja, Bear, and Mattie. I feel good about my place in the game so far, but know that could change anytime.

I hear an ATV pull up and see that it is TJ Lavin. I have loved watching him on The Challenge for years. He gets off the ATV and begins talking.

TJ: What's up guys? I'm TJ Lavin. Welcome to the Challenge. Very glad to see you guys. I've searched high and low across the world to find each and every one of you. 18 reality titans to make this thing really matter. You guys are all badasses and that's why you are here. I have some people here for you to meet.

I look behind him and in come 16 of the best people to play this game. I am trying not to fan girl right now. We have legends like Wes, CT, and Bananas as well as comp beasts like Hunter, Cara, Paulie, and Kyle. Plus, the winner and cutthroat queen that is Ashley M. I am stocked. I see Da'Vonne and I know I have a friend in her. She was one of the first people to give me a chance after I won.

The group gets closer to us and they seem like they are sizing us up. I don't like being treated like meat and I will not be misjudged again. I will prove to everyone who doesn't know why I won my season of Big Brother Canada.

I begin to realize two people are going home from the newbies right away. TJ begins telling us what is going on.

TJ: In front of me are two solid groups. I'm looking at the Vets. Vets, you guys have been through this. Highs and lows. The other side is the prospects. The first challenge starts right here right now. This challenge is called Impending Dune. It will be played in two heats. 

You will start on top of the sand dune. The buckets are full of balls. When I say go, the balls will be released. You are going to rush down the dune and pick up a ball as fast as you can. Then you are going to race back up the dune and place the ball in the bucket to trade for puzzle pieces. You will race down the dune and solve the puzzle. You want to win this thing because you will be ranked based on your performance.

In case you haven't counted yet, there are 16 Vets and 18 Prospects which means the two prospects who finish last will not be moving on today. You guys have to perform. You cannot get last place. Here on the Challenge, every position is earned, especially when you're going for $1 million. You guys ready to get started? Good luck you guys. Men, you're up first.

I have to place well in this because I want to get chosen by a good partner. We get to the top and the challenge begins. I get a ball near the end of the pack and get my puzzle pieces last. I sprint down the dune and get to the puzzle board. I look at the puzzle and see the puzzle is quite simple. I see Paulie finishes first and I am almost done. I put the final piece down and raise my hand. I am the third prospect to finish and the fourth male to finish.

I do a backflip into a split and see everyone whisper to each other. I see Josh struggling and am shocked. I hope he does well, but at the same time, he is a threat so I am glad he is not done. I see Gus finish and know that Josh is sent home. I now have to watch the women play. As they start, Turbo and Ash come over and they congratulate me.

Turbo: Congrats on finishing third!

Ash: Yeah youngblood. You smashed it.

Brett: Thanks guys! I just barely lost you Ash.

Turbo: How did you figure out the puzzle so fast?

Brett: I don't know.

I look up to see it's between Liz, Zahida, Shaleen, and Mattie. I really want Mattie and Zahida to pull it out. Between Liz and Shaleen, I wouldn't mind Liz going home. I might be from Big Brother, but that does not mean that I like them. Plus, I will be a target if she stays. Mattie and Shaleen finish back to back and I am happy but scared. I like Zahida too much to see her go. I cheer her on.
