Darkness engulfed me..
My breathing became laborious..
The end of the tunnel seemed far..
My vision got blurred..
Still I kept running..
Steps faltered.. my body ached in pain..
Cuts and bruises.. trails of blood..
Beads of perspiration lining my forehead..
As I woke up from my dreams..
Realization hit me hard.. knocked the air out of my lungs..
Punched me in my stomach..
As i crumbled down from the weight..
It finally dawned on me.. it's all over now..
My nightmares confirmed my worst fear..
That I was nowhere near.. to you.. anymore..
