The Missing Piece

After eating an amazing Vegetarian dinner (which Raisa and Beth were not fond of.) It was time for us to sleep. We eventually decided it was best to all sleep together, in the hall on makeshift beds. Although it was a tight squeeze it was very exciting, I mean a sleepover with all my online besties! could that get any better? We talked until almost three in the morning and then thought we should probably sleep however I was too deep in thought to sleep, what we were going to do when we wake up and the excitement of the week was too much! Before i knew it I was fast asleep.
The next morning I woke to a scream, "My wife left me!!!" someone shouted and I wanted nothing more than to strangle that person. I tried to ignore all the commotion going on around me and tried to go back to sleep, but soon it became difficult to ignore all the voices and I decided to wake, a string of curses falling out of my mouth. When I was fully awake I paid attention to the arguments going on around me.
"Honestly whats all this about?" Faith said irritably
"Chiara and Raisa went to buy pumpkin soup without me!" AJ exclaimed
"seriously" Beth said agitated
"Honestly AJ its only pumpkin soup its not like they have gone ice skating without you!" Iraj said
"way to disturb my beauty sleep AJ let the queen be!" Betty said croakily
"i agree with betty... thank you AJ" said theri disgruntled.
I giggled, yes Chiara our queen another on of the many jokes we had. I looked around the room realising that Chiara and Raisa werent the only ones gone.
"where are Jayla and Eliza?" I asked. I received a series of " I don't know " in reply.
"Maybe they are with Raisa and Chiara" said Theri. I checked the time, " Guys! It's already one PM and we have wasted our time in senseless bickering instead of getting ready and exploring Germany!!! " My statement seemed to seize all the existing conversations and we all scrambled to get ready. By the time we were all ready, Chiara and Raisa had returned, thankfully Eliza was with them. But where was Jayla? Caitlin voiced my thoughts,
"Where is Jayla?"
" Jayla?! " Raisa exclaimed,
" Yes, she was with you wasn't she? " questioned Beth
" No, it was just me, Raisa and Eliza. Jayla was out of bed even before we left, we thought she was getting ready or something. " Chiara said, worry now etching her face.
" None of us has seen Jayla since morning! Where can she be?!! " Faith said, resonating anxiety present in each one of ours minds.
" Let's just calm down and call her"
" Good idea"
We all tried her phone one by one but her phone was switched off.
" Why is here phone switched off?!!"
" Maybe it ran out of battery! "
" Jayla is now reminding me of Lucy from the role-play! Ugh! "
We tried to reach her phone again and again for the next hour, but failed every time. Now our anxiety was growing into full blown worry!
" Oh god! What if something bad happened to her?! "
" Ok, before we panic, let's search the whole house and the neighborhood throughlly." I said trying my best to sound calm. Firstly we all called Jayla but no reply.
"damn it" I said
"Ok ill search the neighbourhood as I know it too well" Said Chiara,
"ill come with you" Faith said nervously.
" Me and Betty can look around the house " Beth said. " Raisa, Iraj, Theri, Aj and I will look inside the house! " I said bossily. We all nodded in agreement and started searching for Jayla, frantically screaming her name. It had been 20 minutes since we started looking for Jayla and I was convinced that there was no way that she was in the house. All of a sudden I heard a piercing scream, from somewhere downstairs. I started following the direction of the scream, as did everyone in the house. The scream came from behind a small door, we opened it and there were stairs leading us down to the basement. There we saw Theresa eyes wide, tears running out of them, staring at something on the floor ahead. With me in the lead we slowly made our way towards Theri revealing what was on the floor. No wonder she looked so devastated!
"Aastha can we panic now?!" Raisa shouted
