Dear Diary,
Today is my first day of summer vacation! I'm almost 13 so mom says that she'll take me and some friends to the beach tomorrow! New York City only has one beach an a group of us are going to go to it! Of course Maria is going she's my best friend, and then theirs that stupid bitch Lucy going ugh I hate her. Today she tripped me in the hallway and I dropped my books everywhere. It was so embarrassing I don't understand why Maria likes her. Thank god Lucy's busy and can't make it tomorrow. Then theirs my other best friend Piper. Weird name huh? Aha it's funny but I love her as a sister. She's coming as well. Moms going to drive me since she has tomorrow off. She's working tonight so I'm at home by myself. I'm old enough to stay home by myself, it happens a lot since mom got chief of surgery at South Side Hospital, but she says it will all get better that she will be home more often once she gets everything sorted out which is good! She also makes her own schedule so she plan in advance! Which is awesome! I spend a lot of time by myself which is ok cause it doesn't bother me much, but that's what happens when you only have a mom. I've never known my dad and I haven't really asked about him much. I'm not sure if mom would get mad at me or not. Oh the phones ringing it might be mom calling to check in. So I gotta go! But I'll write to you tomorrow.
