"Thank you for coming. We be in touch."
Lau close door after number seven leave. She shake her head 'no'.
NeNe, we really need pick nanny.
"You have babies soon. What was wrong with this one?"
"She's too young. I just don't like any of them. I still want to meet Aunt Lena's lady ... she's the last one. I promise to pick after her. OK?"
Alright.
We been interviewing for weeks.
Laurent likes the young cute ones, I like the older and experienced ones, NeNe likes none.
"Oww oww oww."
What! You labor?
"Larry no ... They've moved down, resting on my bladder. I feel like they're stretching inside of me. Ugh. I'm sick of being pregnant."
She lean back and exhale.
Lau touch her stomach, his little girl push her foot against his hand.
"Sois patiente petite fille. Papa te verra bientôt."(Be patient little girl. Daddy will see you soon)
"Tell her to stop doing jumping jacks, she won't listen to me ... Laurent you help me up?"
"Here, what you need?"
"Nothing Baby, I just need to pee."
He kiss her stomach.
"Behave for Mommy."
I watch her waddle down the hall.
I still worry, I feel something might go wrong.
Lau can tell.
"Larry, we have baby nurse for couple weeks, then nanny. Our Moms come too. I think we be fine. People have babies everyday ... with less help. No worry."
I try.
*Ding*
Last one here.
"J*****e, she here. I get door!"
When she walk in, her energy is warm and nurturing, different than all the others.
She feel like family, we all sense it.
She smiles big and walks right over to NeNe.
"Hello Miss J*****e, I'm Melanie."
"Hi, I'm so glad you made it. My husbands Larry and Laurent ..."
We all shake hands.
