Jiyu layed on the roof of the almost 30 meter tall building, His head resting in his hands, looking up at the sky as he sighed. Yami sat about 2 feet away from him in the same position. "So... Halloween..?" Jiyu asked quietly as they looked up into the stars together. "Yep... The day where we all used to have fun together... Go Trick-or-treating..." Yami replied, closing her eyes smiling gently. Then, for a second. The two realized the silence of the world at that moment. It felt like the whole world had been quieted. During these brief 5 seconds, Jiyu thought. He thought and thought about what it used to be like, how his friends used to be like, how they used to treat him, how they spoke, their voices, their hair color, eye color, how they looked, how tall they were, how much they weighed and how many times they said 'Hi' or 'Hey' or maybe even 'Hello' to him. But then he realized, he couldn't even remember. That was 4 years ago. But it was still pitiful in his opinion that he couldn't even remember a thing about his friends. Then, his mind began to wander into uncharted territory as he began thinking about what it would be like if he forgot all of his friends that he had now, if he forgot Ute, if he forgot Raifuru, if he forgot Itami. Then, Yami broke the silence by worming over to Jiyu quietly, but still making the smallest of noises, wrapping her arms around him slowly. He wondered if it was an hallucination. But... No... It wasn't. Jiyu knew what an hallucination felt like, first he'd go blind for a split second, and when he opened his eyes back, all he saw was white, and the target of the hallucination. Then, in no more than a mere 10 or 20 seconds later, he came back to reality, either realizing he didn't make the hallucination obvious, or he made it so obvious, that even the most oblivious people could realize what had happened. "Jiyu...?" Yami asked in a gentle tone, that held hope that Jiyu would answer. "Yep?" Jiyu responded, fulfilling that hope. Then, Jiyu slowly turned his head to face Yami. He halted as soon as he saw the expression on her face. He had never seen Yami blush as suddly as she did, What was more was that he saw a look in her eyes. Her violet eyes. He gazed deep into them, deeper and deeper, until he crossed the supernova that was her pupil, and came into her iris, which shined brighter than millions and millions of stars. He had never noticed just how beautiful Yami's eyes were. He had never noticed how gentle of a tone she could use. Then, he noticed he didn't become aroused by the fact that her breasts were pressing up against his arm, Infact he didn't mind. His whole universe began changing before him as he realized that Yami wasn't just some friend that wanted sex from him. No. He realized she meant much more, that she truely loved him, that she truely wanted to be with him. His lips moved on his own, realeasing the words from captivity. "You're eyes-" He blushed bright red as he caught himself. "What about my eyes...?" Yami asked, yawning a bit. Jiyu didn't hesitate, nor did his body or soul let him. "They're beautiful." Yami was the one that blushed brighter now, Jiyu gave a light smile. Yami had been smiling since the words came from his mouth. Then, slowly, her smile fell more suddle as she gazed into his own, Emerald green eyes. She saw the same thing that she always saw. The boy she truely loved. The boy she truely wanted to be with. This was Jiyu, Jiyu Eregansu, and Yami loved him with all her heart, her soul desperately wishing for him to think the same. Then there was her instinct, the instinct she had inherited from her father, The instinct of an Assassin. this instinct was like a voice, telling her not to fall in love, Yet it fought a war with her soul, who realized that it was too late, she had already fallen head over heels for Jiyu. "Th-thanks..." She responded. Jiyu nodded, smiling wide. Yami had always loved that smile, ever since she first saw it. "Jiyu!" Yami called out, abruptly. "Promise me something!!" Jiyu was completely caught off guard by this, but he didn't care. He realized Yami was serious about this. So, he turned his head and nodded, then spoke. "What's the promise?" He asked in a gentle tone. "Promise me..." Yami began, a blush working it's way above her nose, under her eyes. She hesitated heavily, Heavily than she ever had before. Then, she said it. She said the words that Jiyu would never forget, He could never forget those words, Even if he tried. He could never, ever forget these words until he died. "You'll kiss me before I die!!" She called out, her face was intirely bright red. Then, without warning, her arms became limp and she fell asleep. Jiyu held her up, still caught off guard by what she had just said. Then, he hesitated to think about it, and dismissed the thought, picking Yami up slowly, He knew it would be her dream to be carried by Jiyu while she was awake, and this was the first time he had carried, her, No, not just her, but this was the first time he had carried anybody bridal style. He walked to the stairs that led back down to the terrace and slowly, leisurely strolled down them. He carried her to her room and attempted to open the door, it was locked. He thought about what he could do. Then, it came to him. He walked down to his room and twisted the knob, hearing a 'click' as the door opened and he turned the lights on, having to lift Yami's legs to do so, then he adjusted how he held her to how he first did, yet again, walking over to his futon, laying her down in it, slowly covering her up, ever so gently. This was the first time he didn't mind his hands or fingers making contact with her breasts as they brushed against them ever so slightly when he covered her up, all the way to the shoulders. He watched her for a few seconds, then got up and walked out of his room, closing the door almost shut, leaving just a crack opened. Then, he walked downstairs to find Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, Shokan and Renji at the meeting table. "What's goin' on?" Jiyu asked with a small yawn, hiding it with his palm. "Not a lot... Come, sit down." Tsukuyomi called. Jiyu nodded and walked over and sat down beside Renji. There was silence for about 10 seconds until Jiyu finally broke it, with one word only. "Soo...?" He asked. Tsukuyomi cleared her throat, then spoke, "I wanted to speak to you all about something..." She said, quietly, the awkwardness driving deeper into the air. "It's about... safety..." She said slowly. "Red Lights' base is safe... it's got natural protection since it's on a mountain, a steep mountain, and zombies can't climb... No matter what type, not even Variants or Strongarms can climb. They could try, but they still don't have enough strength in their hands to fully grasp something like rocks. Plus, they don't have much feeling in their wrists either, so they can't use those to climb either. That's our next destination." She finished. "Then it's settled..." Shokan agreed. They all nodded in agreement. "We'll go in about 2 months or so." Amaterasu said. They all nodded again. So it was settled. In 2 months, they were moving yet again. They were moving... to where... they could finally be... safe.
