Run with perseverance.
My mind says, "of course, runners won't be able to finish the course unless they persevere towards the end".
But in reality, not all people are running their own course with perseverance. If it feels uncomfortable with them, they'll change right away. That's how this generation rotates, "I don't like it, I'll find another way" instead of, "I don't like it but I'll embrace it anyway".
When Paul wrote in, Hebrews 12:1-3 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart".
Fixing our eyes to Jesus is a challenge for me as well for we have to look at Him inspite of what's happening in our own lives, be it with our family, friends, at work, our ministry and combine all the things that you're thinking of. In all that, when we know that our battles are not ours but God's, we'll definitely look directly to Him and run the race of life with perseverance.
