"Is anyone going to get me some toast?"
Reg moans, 'ad only just got out of bed.

"No, you can do it yourself if you don't mind." Del replies, now scowling at the way Reg's behaviour hasn't changed at all.

Meanwhile, little Rodney sits on Del's lap, snuggled up against him with his toy car.

"I'm grieving, so why can't anyone make me any toast?" Del puffs,

"I see your behaviour hasn't changed much? Making this all about you! She was our mother to you know."

"Now don't take that tone with me young man! I've done a lot of things for you! I..."

"Oh leave it out will you!" Del exclaims back at Reg, turning his attention back to Rodney.

"I'll do it..." Grandad reluctantly gets up.

Reg foolishly trusts his Dad to make it just like Joanie's way. But look what happened to the last thing he tried to make.

"Show mummy" Rodney quietly says, the biggest smile on his face.

Del wipes a tear from his eye, gently smiling back. He sighs, trying to find a way to tell Rodney or break a sentence together.

"I'm taking Rodney to get some flowers for mum's grave." Del tells everyone, gently picking up Rodney to put his coat and shoes on.

"Which one do you thinks yours?" Del asks Rodney, moving his finger across all the shoes.

Slowly learning which, Rodney points to the right ones.

"Good boy!" Del proudly claps, grabbing them to put them on.

Rodney also manages to find mummy's shoes, breaking Del's heart and giving him flashbacks of Joanie teaching him.

"Maybe not today, buddy" Del ties his shoe laces, puts his mustard woolly coat on and straps him in his pushchair, can't forget his Dan dare pull over too!
