"You can't ignore him forever, you know? You're best friends and I know you have a crush on him!" Percy grumbled as he sat on the opposite bed from where Nico was laying with his head shoved in his pillow.
"He lied to me and he lied to you. How are you not mad at him? He's the son of Kronos for Gods sake and what? I'm just suppose to forgive him just because he asks nicely? No. No amount of him begging with his stupid beautiful eyes is going to make me change my mind."
Percy rolled his eyes and sighed. He could see how upset Nico was and he could also see how upset [name] was. He just wished Nico would talk to him and get all his feelings out. Nothing good was going to come from Nico just ignoring [name] and pretending like he didn't exist but no matter how many times Percy told him this, Nico would just ignore him and continue to mope around. "All I'm saying is just talk to him, you don't have to forgive him."
"There's no point talking to him when I already know what's going to happen. He's going to grovel, I'm going to not forgive him and than I'll feel worse than I did before, so what's the point of putting myself through that?" Nico turned his head to look Percy in the eyes. "Just because you have forgiven him, doesn't mean I have to."
It hurt ten times more for Nico because he and [name] were so close to actually getting together. Nico had planned out how he would ask him out and what they would do on their first date but [name] just had to go and ruin it by keeping this huge secret from him. "Aren't you worried that he might be exactly like his father?"
"This is [name] we're talking about. He's the most gentle guy I know. He followed a butterfly for like an hour once because he found it so interesting. You really think a guy as good as him could be anything like his father? There's no way." Percy was sticking by his best friend and he would do everything in his power to get Nico to forgive him, so they could just get together already.
"Just because he follows butterflies doesn't mean he can't be doing evil things when we're not looking." Nico really couldn't imagine [name] doing anything remotely evil but that was only because he was so in love with him that anything he did made Nico love him even more.
"You know he's really upset and he regrets lying to you. You mean so much to him and I can tell you he wouldn't be this upset if it were me ignoring him. If you just went and talked to him than you would see..."
"I said no! Now, just drop it Percy. I don't want to talk about him anymore." He put his pillow over his head, hoping Percy could see that if he kept going on than he was going to lose his mind. "Please..." He sniffled quietly and that's when Percy knew to drop it, feeling bad that he had pushed so far to make him cry.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to upset you."
Nico ignored him.
A week went by and Nico had stayed away from basically everyone, including the person he wanted to see the most. He had decided to go for a little walk, getting away from everyone seemed perfect at the moment and he didn't care about worrying them. He had only been walking for... actually he didn't know how long, he just kept going until he was deep into the forest.
